Cat - that would take the price line on the 5-year chart above out of the top of that chart, and up to where the zero level is on the macd chart above it(!)

DP - probably wrong of me to be so sniffy about the pets/petfoods connection. Even with the greater focus on packaged chilled meats in recent years, it remains a worthwhile part of what Cranswick is. So I've now added a few lines beneath the Fundamentals panel in the header.

Just noticed that forecasts have been substantially increased since I last checked about a month ago, so although I've been holding these for a bit, I feel it's time for another helping.

You are quite right .... but look at it in another way... IMO

That mean they sell only the top qualities meat "joints"...
Leaving the off cuts to the cats & dogs....
Therefore top quality products

BTW Cat seems to agree LOL

have a nice Sunday

Nice one Jack. Though I do wish they would have taken the opportunity to launch (or adopt) a non-Cranswick name for the growing pets/petfoods division, rather than doing what they've done in applying the Cranswick badge even more prominently there.

For a company selling into the delicatessen area, and into premium brand sausages etc, I can't help feeling they need to clearly distance this from any impression of being a dogfood company. I know they might argue that petfood production is nowadays as clinical and respectable as human food production, but if I am eyeing some Cranswick product on the deli counter I would prefer the label to differ from that on display on the dogfood shelves.

Yes I agree... nice thread...

See that I got my white cap, coat, gloves etc....
I thought , for what it is worth, to give my "inside sentiments+ thoughts"

I believe lately they gone a bit too much up, therefore they bound to be some downside... however I strongly believe they are the one to tuck away for few years, if someone is looking for a good long term....

Even Cat's e.w. got them to double....

In the future, there could be some more "info" in the pipeline......

Btw I hold (big) and I already got a good profit....

Cat will be interesting the reading... ;-)

Ciao

mtg - go and read dodddy's CRM ramp - errr, no, thread - its got a few analysts updates on it.
Its the move towards the food sector, strengthened by its recent aquisition, which is powering it ahead.
