13/2/2006 23:06 | Cambium - I can see that by specialising (these days) as an animal medicines co (and its pig treatments might presumably involve CWK's pig farmers as prospective customers) LAC ought to be regarded as being in a good market. But if the management have been telling porkies to analysts and brokers it will be a long time before those analysts and brokers feel inclined to say anything supportive again. I haven't previously followed the stock and feel inclined to just leave it alone. | m.t.glass
13/2/2006 15:13 | any thoughts regarding LAC, MT? | cambium
27/1/2006 21:28 | The MACD lines above now look like they looked on 21 June last year, for what it's worth. Other factors and indicators differ. | m.t.glass
27/1/2006 17:32 | Agreed, pretty much steady as she goes neither excitement nor alarm. presumably we'll see the share price settle in the lower 600s. | spaceparallax
27/1/2006 12:09 | Cranswick Unlikely To See Upgrades -Analysts Friday, January 27, 2006 5:12:22 AM ET Dow Jones Newswires 0848 GMT [Dow Jones] Cranswick's (CWK.LN) trading update has figures which are in line with market expectations, "but there is nothing to get excited about" says an analyst. Another analyst agrees the update is unlikely to drive any estimate changes, despite a mention of "challenging conditions." He prefers Dairy Crest (DCG.LN). Cranswick +2.1% at 600p. (PBA) - I was poised to launch a short term upbet if the news this morning looked exciting enough, but it didn't so I didn't. | m.t.glass

13/1/2006 21:12 | Found this in a fruit & veg trade journal tonight: Marcus Hoggarth, category manager for fruit at Sainsbury's, has announced he will be leaving the retailer to take up a position with Cranswick, a meat manufacturer based in Yorkshire. Hoggarth has been with Sainsbury's for eight years: "I joined in 1998 full-time and started off on the meat side, before moving into the fruit category around four years ago," he said, adding that he will be taking up his new role at the end of February. Meanwhile, chart looks a bit stretched. | m.t.glass
06/1/2006 19:47 | Cheers MTG, An informative, authoritative post. | spaceparallax
05/1/2006 23:36 | Evil, I'm not sure that they compete in the same arena. | spaceparallax
05/1/2006 18:09 | Hmm. I'm not holding, but maybe this is significant: "Sausages to beefburger group Canterbury Foods has called in administrators after its banks rejected a rescue refinance package." Less competition? | evilwebby
05/1/2006 11:15 | Today's perkiness anything significant? I'm not aware of any news or upgrades. | m.t.glass

04/11/2005 14:08 | AB report on Monday, we could see some interest in where they are going to put all that cash. It would fit with there array of holdings. That spike of 1.8million shares still is yet to be explained too. | cambium
04/11/2005 14:01 | Not heard anything to that effect. Would not be surprised if someone does regard CWK as worth owning. Some day whenever. But with their mixture of agricultural and pets/petfood interests as well as foods, they might not appeal to a foods-only co in present form. | m.t.glass
04/11/2005 13:50 | You don't think that ABF could be on the march do you MT | cambium
03/11/2005 22:49 | Dunno. A couple of £80k trades went through at 10:45am and the price twitched then, but nothing obvious among the (declared) afternoon trades to explain all that later action. Yesterday's volume was biggest for 2 years (though mainly due to what look like big rollover actions?). Edit: I see the company website has been redesigned, losing the images I previously used in the header. I am putting up a couple from the new site tonite and will rebalance the display later. | m.t.glass
03/11/2005 22:26 | What happened today :o) | cambium
13/10/2005 20:03 | Bought and sold at various times along the way. Not actually got any position right now, but that's a quirk of my portfolio balancing rather than a negative comment on the stock. | m.t.glass
13/10/2005 19:19 | still holding MT, | cambium
12/10/2005 16:37 | Another all time high..? | mitzis |
