06/6/2006 12:15 | bizwell...i didnt say that i doubted that the clips were genuine. i asked where they came from so that i can read the context that they were taken from and what the source was. 'They are issuing new specs to all and sundry to satisfy their drug testing requirements within months THIS year.' if the government puts something out to tender it doesnt mean that they get what they want...they first need to prove that what they are asking for is possible. government tenders can take months even years and are usually decided on price. the science branch work looks speculative to me. | jonno6
06/6/2006 08:52 | The above clips are genuine CZT contracts with the HO last till 2008 They are issuing new specs to all and sundry to satisfy their drug testing requirements within months THIS year. If you think Reid will have no input , then I suggest you think again B | biswell
06/6/2006 00:27 | azalea...posting the same things over and over again does seem a bit odd and i dont understand why he has posted lots of messages with just a single letter...am i missing something? it isn't possible to work out whether to take it seriously if you cant see where it came from...for all i know they could have come from farmers weekly! i have searched using google but can only find articles saying that the home office science branch is thinking about asking manufacturers to supply technology using spectroscopy...but they are currently doing tests to decide whether they can get the technology to work. i have spoken to the science branch and they only work as advisors to the home office...they dont manufacture equipment themselves. if the science branch take three years to get a prototype to work then surely it will take quite a lot longer to get something small and robust to work for roadside testing? biswell...can you explain why the home office science branch work is likely to be a problem for cozart in 2008? | jonno6
05/6/2006 22:57 | azalea... Agree 100% | adeyberry
05/6/2006 21:28 | Biswell is and always has been an absolute idiot trying to justify his miserable existence by making ridiculous pronouncements on subjects he knows nothing about, exampled by predicting 18-24 months ago that crude would fall from $45 a barrel to $37, and gold to $370oz. It is pointless to attempt to engage him in a reasoned discussion on stock market issues. | azalea
05/6/2006 15:04 | biswell...where are the articles that you keep quoting (posts 413 and 414)? can you post a web link to them or give the name of the magazine or journal. why do you think that a change in home secretary will have any effect on the contracts? in my experience politicians only change something when it has gone wrong...cozart has just had its contract extended so that doesnt look like it has done anything wrong. what makes you think that the home office science branch is able to produce the specification of a hand held drug testing device so easily when there are at least ten other companies all trying to do the same thing? surely a tester that can detect any drug is the panacea for these companies. if the technology is simple enough to do in three years then other companies would have already done it...i don't think that philips is full of stupid ppl... | jonno6
31/5/2006 18:49 | 'The Home Office Scientific Development Branch (HOSDB) is developing a sophisticated device that is expected to be able to detect and identify all drugs, including illicit drugs, prescription and over-the-counter medicines. It will be a couple of years before this device might be available and type-approved for use as the scientific development work behind it is highly complex. When the work is completed, HOSDB will write a full specification for commercial manufacturers to make and market the device. The HOSDB is also currently developing a device for measuring driver impairment. If the development is successful, the device will be capable of screening for all types of driver impairment not just drug impairment. Police will then be able to use the device in place of the field impairment tests currently employed. | biswell
31/5/2006 18:48 | Tenders for more than just one product 'In relation to roadside drug testing, it might be helpful if I outline the current position of 'driving whilst unfit to drive through drink or drugs' falls under section 4 of the road traffic Act 1998. To prove a drug driving offence it is necessary to prove that a person's driving ability is impaired because of the effect of a drug. The Act allows the police to conduct two types of preliminary test to achieve this. The first test is a preliminary impairment test, the second a preliminary drug test. It is the Governments intention to introduce a road-side drug testing scheme and work is currently underway to develop a technical specification which meets this need. This is because the Act only allows a preliminary drug test to be carried out using a device of a type approved by the Secretary of State. We expect to issue the specification later this year.' | biswell
31/5/2006 11:56 | Azalea.I agree with you but as far as I'm aware they haven't been interested in it.I did ask them some time ago. The Public school, Headmaster Mr Warren (I believe) that have been doing random tests have used another company. And as that man is now an Adviser to the Goverment it seems likely he will favour the other company.Even if it's open to tender his influence could be a big factor. | gombie
31/5/2006 07:57 | If plans to carry out random drug tests on children at schools in England and Wales are followed through; who better equipped to do so than CZT. | azalea
25/5/2006 04:02 | Tenders will then be looked at after the specs have been sent out However will Mr J.Reid ... the new kid on the block choose a supplier he likes ? Another unknown , now that Big Ears has gone B | biswell

25/5/2006 02:20 | Coverage in local press of DDS launch: ...sampling typically takes 30 seconds. Analysis of whether Class A drugs have been taken can be done in 90 seconds. Up to five drug types can be detected in five minutes. ...It has already been taken on by police in Australia for use at the roadside, following a number of studies... ...Cassie Shaw, head of Scenesafe, said: "Cozart's infrastructure, resources and ability to deliver were all key factors to our decision-making process"... ...Mr Hand said the company was growing rapidly with turnover now reaching £1m a month. Ten staff have been taken on in the last year. | cfb2
24/5/2006 08:53 | Cyclic pattern and tA indicators suggest 27p coming again General market weakness might mean even 26p This will put a dent in Philips buy Which means circa £3.5m not coming in the coffers to expand out of the UK where CZT knows it's days are numbered Which means a cash call coming B | biswell
24/5/2006 08:25 | Those who bought in yesterday had better consider their options I feel dyor Hope this helps biswell - 23 May'06 - 09:06 - 3709 of 3727 edit Markets don't like unknowns or suprises Well in June they will get both in the US , so expect US markets to fall further yet. The correction in the US is only 50% completed I feel B Wall Street slides in late trading By John O'Doherty in New York Published: May 23 2006 13:41 | Last updated: May 23 2006 21:43 Wall Street turned sharply lower in the last hour on Tuesday erasing gains made earlier in the day. A rise in the price of oil and metals had given momentum to energy and mining stocks, while homebuilders also climbed. "Very simply, the recovery was extremely unimpressive," said Hugh Johnson, chairman and chief investment officer of Johnson Illington Associates "It was based on low volume, and was uninspiring. There was no clear signal today that the market had found a bottom." "It's got bear market written all over it," said Peter Boockvar, equity strategist at Miller Tabak. | biswell
24/5/2006 08:25 | Yes but lack of Institutions getting involved with Cozart ties in with the plans to open up the drug testing market to all and sundry with the new Specs to be released this year. B | biswell
23/5/2006 15:06 | The last purchases by a director (18 April 06) were for a total of 125k @ an average price of 31.4p!! edit: bought 175k ( not 125k) | azalea
23/5/2006 14:30 | Nice one azalea! | adeyberry
23/5/2006 14:27 | Im' just in for 10k @ 31.5p! | azalea
23/5/2006 11:29 | Which is why the market has been not reating to recent RNS's as one would have expected. I myself only got the above news upon return from holiday. I am not +ve any more as Cozart will not have a dominant position in the UK after tenders are received methinks. This also explains the lack of major institution buying I feel. I also wonder if Philips are aware of Home office plans B | biswell
23/5/2006 11:25 | The thing is CZT is on borrowed time , that is why they are looking at EU and elsewhere , because the HOSDB is going to open up the testing market both with the police, custody suites, customs, road side tests with new specs that will be open for tender to allcomers. 'The Home Office Scientific Development Branch (HOSDB) is developing a sophisticated device that is expected to be able to detect and identify all drugs, including illicit drugs, prescription and over-the-counter medicines. 22/5/2006 23:11 | Follow biswell at your peril...... | adeyberry
22/5/2006 22:16 | bis Is one of those unfortunates with whom I and others have crossed swords with before. I have yet to work out whether he/she is a total fraud, and/or a simple halfwit. Suffice to say that some 12-18 months ago this poster insisted that crude would fall to $37 a barrel and gold to $370oz. edit: CZT just had a brief mention on BBC1 news -Colombian drug trade. | azalea
22/5/2006 20:53 | Sorry, but I'm confused..... That idiot biswell was very pro CZT a few weeks ago, but is now trying to scare investors into selling!??!!? Notice he has edited all his posts from a while back!!! Does one feel, in the current market climate, he has filled his nappies and sold short, hoping all will follow him!???! Or is he a paid ramper/deramper, and his boss has told him to try and get the price down now!?!? Sad! | adeyberry |
