From Times Online this morning:
"The disappointment was blamed on the government choosing not to adjust the scheme to account for inflationary pressures faced by wind power developers. The mounting price of steel and other costs has already claimed one casualty, a 1.4GW wind farm off the Norfolk coast."

"Companies have been warning government officials that the maximum price they can bid per megawatt hour — the minimum price guarantee — had been set too low given inflation."

I subscribe so I did read this but there was nothing new to me and absolutely nothing that diminished the efficiency or value of offshore wind....it will be sorted.

Also nothing to justify some mad "gotcha ....what about that them....explain that" outburst.

Volumes in CRD have increased recently. Although the share price ended down, trying to figure out why when looking at the ADVFN trades log is a bit of a mystery. The final trade was by my reckoning a buy costing the equivalent of £40k so someone seems confident.
Hopefully CRD are pushing hard to get this over the line.

Here's a fairly subtle point.....I know why offshore auctions have stalled....I have read about this before .....what is the relevance to Coro with their ONSHORE project on the other side of the globe?
That is the reason I gave for not bothering to open the link....it is not relevant.

The main thrust of my argument here has been a kick back against people rubbishing renewables and yet continuing to invest in CORO.
By all means be here for the Duyung great day but many, many poster appear to think that renewables are somehow a trivial, meaningless side show...they're not....certainly not in CORO.

I hope that the last two posts don't represent the considered opinion of the majority or we are all in bother.....on any number of levels.

Happy to debate any measured, reasonable post but I think that most would agree that those two failed the test.

Plenty of other places to post.....leave me in my hippie dreamland.....man !!!

What the hell has that to do with anything connected to Coro, anyone's investment in Coro or the prospect of anyone actually making money from Coro.

I have shown conclusively that Coro is a company heavily and increasingly involved in renewable energy generation.
Most Coro investors appear to have missed or ignored the change in the company they have invested in.

I believe that there is serious money to be made from investing in renewable energy project and I am invested in several renewable energy specific companies and these are certainly holding up well and paying very good dividends.

I haven't even opened the link as I know that there are many moving parts in these deals and high inflation and interest rate have made the price guarantees necessary inadequate.....it will get sorted out.

Note to all the other Express/Mail reading..."Trump has the right idea" ...people out there...I am not interested in your views.

Hopefully I have made my point.......for good or bad Coro is heavily involved in renewable energy projects (I think "good" but that is just my opinion)

Anyone thinking "bad" obviously has a decision to make here.

The link is to the annual report and the statements are unequivocal:-

"Our strategy remains to monetise the Duyung PSC, repay or restructure our corporate debt, complete the sale of our Italian assets and then strategically invest to grow our South East Asian renewables business."

They hope to have a more appropriately sized gas involvement (not Duyung) as they see gas as a transition energy source and avoid being 100% renewables but they could not be clearer in their aims and strategy.

How could any serious investor have missed this ?

Bearing in mind the 9 hour time difference, one can always sit up at night clicking the red ASX link beneath the News panel at the top of the header above. Horse's mouth and all that ;0)
