If the rmart rumour is true there is a problem. Don't put too much faith in a HOT. It is not binding. It only means after discussion both sides see the agreement as satisfactory. It does not mean there will be a binding lease. The land owner was trying to sell. If he thought a binding lease was going to increase the amount he would get for his land or made the sale easier he would have signed. He didn't. If the purchaser thought a binding lease was a bonus he would have bought the land. He didn't. The battery storage project might have put the purchaser off. Or he might have wanted a discount on the purchase which the owner couldn't agree to. rmart was correct to sell shares. The uncertainty is a problem.

Putting off 50MW of solar is worrying. Perhaps Corcel couldn't afford the extra costs. There is opinion against a large solar project in the area. Perhaps Corcel would like to see the outcome of any protests before committing. Burwell is not a sure thing, even downsized or "right sized". 100 MW could become zero. Much uncertainty. It might be a long time before shareholders find out. Be careful.

28/05/2021 07:00 UK Regulatory (RNS & others) Corcel PLC Acquisition of Third 50MW Flexible Energy Project LSE:CRCL Corcel Plc
"Corcel Plc, ("Corcel" or "the Company"), the natural resource exploration and development company with interests in battery metals and flexible grid solutions, announces exclusive rights over the acquisition of the "shovel ready" Avonmouth 50MW gas peaking project outside of Bristol from FPC Electric Land Limited ("Electric Land" or "EL"). ...
The Company, following comprehensive due diligence on the project, has received third party estimates of annual gross margins of between GBP67-101k per MW/per annum once the project is operational. ..."

= Gross annual profit of up to £5.05M. p.a.

Plus CRCL's other FGS (flexible grid solutions) interests, i.e. Tring & Burwell, should = gross profit of over £10M. p.a.

At a reasonable valuation multiple of say 10x profit, that would give a valuation of over £100M. p.a.

And CRCL's strategic relationships and pipeline of opportunities means that it will make an ongoing stream of FGS acquisitions.

"CORCEL – TODAY’S MAST IPO HIGHLIGHTS VALUATION DISJOINT WITH CORCEL. REVISION OF PRICE TARGET TO 12.91P. BUY.
April 14, 2021 | Posted by admin
...
On the flexible grid solutions side, Corcel’s flagship project is the 100%-owned Burwell Project which is a 100MW (50MW of energy storage and 50MW of solar) project located outside of the town of Burwell in Cambridgeshire. Already, the land lease heads of terms are in place and the grid connection is secured. The project owns the last 100MW 132KkV connection available at the substation there and there are multiple expansion options including solar and storage. Planning could be gained here shortly making the project shovel ready, which is a pretty big inflexion point as at that stage the project could then be sold, funded or new partners could be brought in. ..."

Helpfull,

For the umpteenth time, if the Burwell land sale is off, that's good news, as that was the only thing holding matters up.

The commercial lease heads of terms have already been agreed with the existing landowner, so there's no reasons now why it can't be signed instantly.

You don't agree lease heads of terms unless you are happy with those terms, as there is no point.
Indeed that is the whole point of agreeing heads of terms, as it provides more certainty for both sides.

The landowner may have felt that he can get more selling later with a revenue-producing lease already in place.

This dip will soon be seen to have been a real buying opportunity, just like the two previous dips, as I said at the time.

How close is the next fundraise?

At the start of 2021 Corcel had £180,000 cash.

Corcel raised £300,000 gross on the 18th February 2021 which costs of 10% would bring down to £270,000.

Exercise of warrants in April and May 2021 brought in £686,736.

Total cash funds would be £1,166,736.

There are costs though.

Administration costs of £493,000 can be expected for the half year to 30th June 2021. Same as first half
£150,000 was paid for 40% interest in the Tring Road peaker project.
£72,000 was paid for exclusivity at the Avonmouth peaker project.
£100,000 exploration costs at least can be expected from Mambare (£205,000 for last full year).
And only £200,000 was received to the accounts from the 12th May 2021 warrant exercise, not £300,000.

"£200,000 of these proceeds have been credited to the Company's account with the balance having been netted off and utilized to repay in full the loan facility originally announced on 18 February 2021".

That gives a present cash figure for end June 2021 of about £251,736.

But the company must be forward looking. Expected costs for the next six months include: £493,000(admin), £100,000(exploration costs), another £72,000(Avonmouth?) and perhaps £286,756 (loan repayment on 23rd December 2021 + 8% int).

That comes to minus £700,020 at end of December 2021. The next cash raise, as always with Corcel, is imminent. Be careful.

Thanks also Bambos for this useful interview report with CRCL boss James Parsons:

"Parsons a couple of days ago

Q: How quickly can you build scale with firms like Corcel, which clearly have an interesting platform on which to grow?

Corcel is, in my view, one of the “yet to be recognised” early leaders of the energy transition in the micro-cap space.

We operate at the intersection of battery metals mining and its end-use in energy storage with a portfolio focused on first acquiring battery metal resources prior to the widely expected structural price hike and secondly generating low risk cash flow from energy storage and trading via batteries.

If we were directing a movie of the 2020/21 energy landscape, I would suggest a suitable working title to be “The Rise of Batteries”.

Corcel is right in the middle of that space and looking forward to playing its part! Since 2019 we have focused on sorting out the inherited legacy issues, and then turned our attention to building the strategic foundations for the future – this is swan paddling stuff, with lots of work going on unseen but we are really making progress now.

The focus at the moment is on achieving shovel ready status at Burwell, the battery storage site in Cambridgeshire, on securing a Mining Lease at Mambare, our first PNG Nickel deposit, and on unlocking Wo Wo Gap in conjunction with RMI (an ASX listed company where Corcel has a significant debt position).

So, scaling up is critical and that will come as we both broaden and deepen the portfolio – however, I really want to see some of the inherent NAV we have already created reflected in our valuation before we make the next big move. I don’t expect that to be too long!"

The CRCL chart is now showing a falling wedge pattern, a bullish reversal signal, just as it's done in the past before breakouts upwards.

This pattern is a 'deceptively bullish' indicator, i.e. a bullish indicator that inexperienced traders may misinterpret.

In fact it's probably my favourite chart pattern, and one that has preceded some of my biggest gains.

"Falling Wedge
When a security's price has been falling over time, a wedge pattern can occur just as the trend makes its final downward move. The trend lines drawn above the highs and below the lows on the price chart pattern can converge as the price slide loses momentum and buyers step in to slow the rate of decline. Before the lines converge, price may breakout above the upper trend line.
When price breaks the upper trend line the security is expected to reverse and trend higher. Traders identifying bullish reversal signals would want to look for trades that benefit from the security’s rise in price.

Trading Advantages for Wedge Patterns
As a general rule price, pattern strategies for trading systems rarely yield returns that outperform buy-and-hold strategies over time, but some patterns do appear to be useful in forecasting general price trends nonetheless. Some studies suggest that a wedge pattern will breakout towards a reversal (a bullish breakout for falling wedges and a bearish breakout for rising wedges) more often than two-thirds of the time, with a falling wedge being a more reliable indicator than a rising wedge."

A reminder that Kemche was the winner of the 'worst prediction of the year' award 2020:
On 23rd. October last year, he predicted that the RMS share price would collapse back to 0.3p from about a penny. The very next trading day, the share price doubled.

Now it's deja vu all over again!

Exactly the same sort of posting from Kemche, tell blatant lies about imaginary fundraisings.

About £1M. net of new funds has just been raised by CRCL this spring, ahead of a summer of huge news.

There may be no need for fundraisings as such at all if CRCL monetises some of its brilliant FLS assets this year.

But if it wants to, the gameplan here will be the same as at other relatively recent and rapid tenbaggers I tipped in advance: TERN, IQAI, and RMS.

Which is to multibag the s.p., then raise more funds at much higher prices to
develop the business.

Any predictions as to the share price when CRCL has a big share of Wo Wo Gap, gets its Mambare mining licence, and is developing its FGS assets?

A lot higher than now, that's for sure.

Helpfull,

Brian-dead-c--tness must be a bit like COVID-19: very contagious if you are trolling with someone who has it!

You post that rmart posted the rumour, but then ask if I made the rumour up?!!

And for the record, I certainly never asked rmart to reveal his source, much less get angry with him for not doing so.

Because I respect the confidentiality of such sources.
