Papua New Guinea is a democracy with rule of law.

Moreover, it is ideally located for the major markets of China and Australia.

Certainly, the mining industry there seems to be doing well, and the government will be keen for this to continue.

And that means supporting projects like Mambare and Wo Wo Gap.

"Mining
Minerals share a significant portion of PNG’s economy and has long been a pillar of the country’s economic growth.

Since 1970, the mining industry has dominated PNG’s economy. Mineral exports are gold, copper, silver, nickel and cobalt. PNG mines are spread across the country, the largest of which include: Ok Tedi Copper and Gold Mine, Porgera Gold Mine, Lihir Gold Mine, Hidden Valley Gold Mine, Simberi Gold Mine, Tolukuma Gold Mine and Ramu Nickel Mine. ..."

Both of Corcel's Papua New Guinea nickel projects are located near the coast, and on the south east peninsula of the island, which is where the capital Port Moresby is located.

The accessibility of the area looks similar to another Australasia island, New Caledonia, where Tesla has just partnered with a large nickel mine.

It is higher cost mining projects which are more geared to changes in their commodity prices.

Which means that increasing nickel and cobalt prices will have a greater % impact on the value of Mambare than with lower cost projects.

That's precisely why it's projects like Mambare that you want to back at the bottom of the mining cycle, like now, as they're the ones that can deliver the biggest percentage gains.

The lowest cost projects tend to be developed first, but as they're worked out the market has to turn elsewhere to meet soaring demand.

Soaring prices completely transform the economics of a project like Mambare.

The nickel price has doubled in the last few years, to its current price of over US$17,000 per tonne, and is forecast to double again in the next few years, driven by burgeoning batteries demand.
(In 2007 the nickel price rose to over US$50,000 per tonne.)

They have been doing this for years but of course this time it is different. Completely. Utterly. Absolutely.

When is the next fundraising?

Make no mistake, CRCL is cutting some huge FGS (flexible grid solutions) deals at giveaway prices.

A 50MW project is so big that until just a few months ago local planning authorities in England weren't even allowed to deal with projects over 50MW - they had to be determined by central government.

"UK’s total pipeline of battery storage projects now stands at over 16 gigawatts

05 February 2021
Posted by: Rob Norris

RenewableUK’s latest Energy Storage Project Intelligence report shows that more than 16.1GW of battery storage capacity is operating, under construction or being planned in the UK across 729 projects.

Our last report, published in December 2019, identified a total pipeline of 10.5GW across 600 energy storage projects. The market has developed rapidly; in 2012 applications stood at just 2MW.

Batteries play a key role in our modern flexible energy system, helping grid operators to finely balance the supply of electricity to meet demand, and providing extra resources when needed, for frequency response for example.

The new document reveals that 1.1GW of battery storage capacity is currently operational compared to 0.7GW identified in December 2019. A further 0.6GW is under construction, 8.3GW of capacity is consented and 1.6GW is in the planning system. 4.5GW are identified as being at an early stage of development for future submission into the planning system.

Secondary legislation came into force in December allowing local planning authorities to determine projects with a capacity of over 50MW in England and 350MW in Wales. Previously these were determined by central Government, making the process longer and more complex. The change came about after Government acknowledged that data submitted by RenewableUK from our Project Intelligence service demonstrated that the 50MW cap was imposing an artificial ceiling on the capacity of battery storage projects.
RenewableUK has identified 3 projects which have since been submitted for determination by local planning authorities with a capacity of 100MW each. ..."

Kemche was the winner of the 'worst prediction of the year' award 2020:
On 23rd. October last year, he predicted that the RMS share price would collapse back to 0.3p from about a penny. The very next trading day, the share price doubled.

Helpfull is obviously after Kemche's crown!

The rumour by rmart put the kibosh on Burwell. 6 month delay and "right sizing" and the loss of 50MW of solar in an instant to the "consideration" column. Then the fatal "fall through" of the property sale rumour.

Corcel bought 40% of a peaker plant project from Arlington for £150,000 and some shares. Not battery storage.

Corcel has now bought "six months of exclusivity over a 100% interest in the Avonmouth gas peaker project" for £72,000. Again not battery storage.

Small deals inflated by dubious headlines. Someone has shares to sell. Be careful.

TROLLING RESULT MONITOR UPDATE, 28.5.21

From Hepfull's ADVFN profile:

Helpfull's first bashing post on RGM/CRCL was made on the same day he joined ADVFN:
Helpfull - 06 Jul 2020 - 23:30:52 - 17413 of 17847

On 6th. July 2020 RGM opened at 0.825p, and closed at 0.85p.

Current CRCL s.p.: 1.9p, i.e. 123.5% up since Helpfull started his deranged bashing campaign.

Enough said I think.

LOL, I see that your predicting skills haven't improved Helpfull!

I thought that your 5th. May post 914 above was nailed on for 'worst prediction of the year winner' (see my 18th. May post 1062 above).

But I think that it's just been beaten ... by yourself!
And I think that you need to move the discussion on from 'rmart' to 'our mast'!!

Well done and thanks to the CRCL directors for creating such value for our company.

CRCL now has well over 100MW, well over double that of MAST.

Mast Energy (MAST) has 49MW, and has a market cap. of £24M. ... and without the nickel and vanadium projects that CRCL has!

That shows what a bonkers valuation CRCL has at a market cap. of under a third of MAST's.

CRCL obviously has huge business acumen, and is very good at accessing and executing hugely value-enhancing deals for the company.

This is also helped by the company's status as a listed company, and its access to cheaper capital as a result of that.

'Cash is king', and listed assets are worth far more than unlisted assets.

And a larger asset base is worth more pro rata than a smaller asset base.

CRCL is clearly building something huge here in terms of its FGS (flexible grid solutions) arm alone.

And this growing and valuable FGS asset base will be of huge interest to the multiple investment funds competing for such assets.

I did ask: "How did the warrants issued by Corcel to the "Lender" get into the hands of the "co-investors"? Did Corcel issue the 23,076,923 shares from the warrants exercise to Align, the Lender" as defined by the RNS? Or did Corcel issue some of the 23,076,923 shares to Align " the Lender" and some of the 23,076,924 shares to the "co-investors" not defined by the RNS? A simple question. You position yourself as being close or intimate with Align Research having definitive knowledge of the work of the company. Are you an employee or a officer of the company"?

But there has been no reply as yet. "Co-investors" is new to me. Never saw that in any Corcel RNS. And I think they are official documents but I'm no expert.

Look at the numbers:

RNS dated 14 May 2021 shows Align Research had 16,067,692 shares.

RNS dated 27 May 2021 shows Align Research has 20,067,692 shares.

That's an increase of 4,000,000 shares.

RNS dated 12 May 2021 shows Corcel issued 26,123,076 where dealings were expected to commence about 18th May 2021. 1,200,000 of those shares were from "an arrangement fee of 1,200,000 new ordinary shares has been paid to Align Research Limited under the terms of the Loan Facility" linked to the new debt facility.

I think that leaves 22,123,076 shares. That's about 5.7% of the shares in issue. In the hands of "co-investors" perhaps.

RNS dated 18 Feb 2021 Corcel said "as part of the Loan Facility, the Company will issue a total of 23,076,923 three-year warrants to the Lender (the "Warrants")".

In the same RNS Corcel said " The debt element of the fundraising is a definitive loan agreement arranged by Align Research Limited (the "Lender")".

The warrants "will" be issued to the "Lender" and the "Lender" is Align Research. All very confusing. Be careful.

There is a disjoint here. Between the huge value people are putting on peaker plants and the price Corcel appear to be paying for them. A comparison with Mast would give a fair value for Corcel as squillions. Yet the 40% partnership with Arlington cost £150,000 and supposedly £250,000 worth of shares. Today £72,000 has been paid and maybe the same to come. Small amounts in return for the squillions of pounds of value. The truth is "Corcel has acquired six months of exclusivity over a 100% interest". Now you know what an "exclusivity" costs.

And what about Burwell? News on that would be useful wouldn't it? Well Burwell is described as an "existing effort". Be careful.
