https://www.upstreamonline.com/exploration/africa-exploration-well-points-way-for-possible-revival-of-legacy-oil-play/2-1-1511813State-owned Sonangol is days away from spudding the first onshore exploration well drilled in Angola's Kwanza basin for decades, targeting a sizeable prospect.Angola's onshore discoveries, fields and basins have been neglected for many, many years, partly because overseas oil companies lost interest amid a flurry of bigger shallow water oil discoveries in the 1970s

https://allafrica.com/stories/202309020100.htmlMeanwhile, the chairman of the Board of Directors of Sonangol, Sebastião Martins, said that, if this drilling prospect yields positive results, the oil company could increase its oil and gas production capacity for the country.According to the manager, all the human and logistical conditions have been created for drilling to begin within a week, with only rehearsal or testing of some equipment remaining. He considered that drilling on land is much cheaper than at sea, depending on the specificity of each operation. He assured that Sonangol is also preparing a second reservoir in the same region to explore oil and gas onshore.

Oink! Oink! Anyone?

I invested at 3.25p when Parsons and Scottie took over three years back.

I knew I was on a winner when Lord Snotty came on board.

He worked for the government and look how well the country is doing.

Sorry to see Parsons go. He will be sorely missed. I hope he awarded himself a handsome compensation package on leaving.

Glad to see Scottie made CFO by this new lot. Putting the person who makes £70,000 "punts" in charge of the cash is a firm basis for future success.

Could do with an interview by Mc Bus and Fare Home on Sockbox to get the latest about the weather in Scotland and Rotterdam.

Be careful.

"I have 4.5 milion @2.1 so I am losing more than 88% of what I have invested!! Now I am waiting some good news to try to invest more here....like 20/40.000£ hoping that could realize 30/50x"

Oink! Oink! Anyone?

Is Scottie still Chief Financial Officer?

The new team can't be taken seriously whilst Scottie is on board.

Has he got no shame?

Or is he waiting for the company to fail so he can do another Curzon?

Lucrative for him. But not for shareholders.

Be careful.

Awhoabamba mentioned in dispatches:

"There used to be a dodgy guy on twitter who always used to get my lse posts removed. On forums he was called Bambos and on twitter he was called Harry AIM.

I recall years ago he either went to a Red Rock or an RGM (now Corcel) annual meeting and he posted on twitter a photo of himself with Scott Kaintz. In this photo he was cheek to cheek with Scott and he had tears in his eyes. It was like he had met his idol and he had become overcome with emotion.

I'm not a member of twitter so i can't see if he's still interested in Andrew Bell or Scott Kaintz companies."

Oink! Oink! Anyone?

Can't understand any rhyme or reason why Scottie is being kept on as CFO.

Scottie is too proud a person to take this humiliation.

The new CEO is making the same mistakes, ham over fish.

June 14 2023
The Company is delighted to announce Board changes following its pivot to oil and gas and recent acquisition in Angola. Chairman James Parsons will assume the role of CEO with immediate effect. The salary for the next 6 months in his new role will be paid partly in shares. Accordingly 12,447,965 shares were issued at 0.4p .

July 19 2023
The Company announces as part of a planned transition, Mr Parsons has resigned with immediate effect. During his notice period he will act in an advisory capacity only.

Reading the prior announcement, the spin about a planned exit can be seen as baloney.
Forced to be part paid in Corcel shares and soon after throws toys from the pram imho.

Begs the question:

what "information given verbally by Corcel's directors" can be relied upon?

Going off the last three years my guess would be very little to none.

Still £500,000+ remuneration to the directors of a £1 million company is the one truth that holds good , I suspect.

Be careful.

Presentation review
A stock photo of a nodding donkey on page 1 then the same picture flipped, not a good
start. Odd to keep their battery cell name and logo if selling themselves as an oiler?
Turning the page we have their immaterial working interests and see that first oil is
expected end of Q2 2024. In AIM speak that means 'due 2025 or 2nd half 2024 if lucky'
and at least 12 months of significant cash outflow. Onto the Corcel 'investment case'
and we're told there is 'significant potential'. Finally debt is £434,584 (stated to
the pound as befitting a tiny enterprise). Verdict: below investment grade/junk bond.

"Disclaimer: the information given in this presentation and accompanying information
given verbally by Corcel's directors cannot be relied on for any purpose whatsoever."

That meet and greet for shareholders and potential shareholders is tempting.

And Parsons is available to answer questions.

I wonder if he will tell shareholders why a £1 million company pays its BOD over £500,000 a year?

And I wonder if he will tell shareholders about the 2022 Dempster plans?

Or why Scottie has been removed to CFO and not sacked so he can sort out CZN?

Or why the number of shares in issue has increased tenfold and the share price has decreased tenfold since he took over?

Or why any mug punters should believe a word he says in the new Investor Presentarion?

Or why what he does and has done at all of his companies hasn't been made illegal?

Or why he surrounds himself with the same people at his various companies?

Take a pair of latex gloves if you intend to shake his hand, you don't want to get oil on your suit.

Be careful.

Maybe someone should conduct a 'snouts in the trough' League Table of AIM CEO's it would be a useful exercise, the Premier League has 20 teams, in the case of AIM CEO's you would need places for at least 40.

The C suite at Corcel would fit nicely into the top half for certain.

Never has so little been achieved by so many for so long !

Oink! Oink! Anyone?

Has Scottie been disappeared?

I'm a little confused by the changes.

Has Parsons put a dunces hat on Scottie and sent him to the corner?

And pocketed his dinner money (about £236,000+ last year) at the same time?

You cannot expect Parsons to stand by on £192,000 a year remuneration, dedicating "at least 2 days a week" to the company, and not getting a little jealous.

I'm opening a crowd funding page for contributions to make up the difference in remuneration for wee Scottie. Shareholders have benefited greatly from his hard work and I'm sure they will give generously.

Sorely missed.

Be careful.
