Weighbridge Installation at Muchesu Coal Project Contango Holdings Plc, the producing London listed natural resource development company, is pleased to confirm the installation of the weighbridge at the Muchesu Coal Project was completed last week and is now fully operational. The completion of the installation of the weighbridge enables trucks to collect coal from Muchesu and meets the necessary standards for the sale and transportation of bulk commodities in Zimbabwe and beyond, as well as confirming the tonnages and subsequent sales totals. Production is ongoing and a sizeable stockpile has been built. The Company expects to announce first sales and receive first revenues this month from TransOre International FZE, as previously announced. Further updates will be released upon first sales. A short video, filmed in July, of the mine's operations, as well as feedback from local families, can be found on the Company's website and using the following link: https://tinyurl.com/ContangoSiteUpdate

Good video, however when I tried to save it to watch again it says video is 'Made for Kids' - I'm guessing that this was an oversight by whomever uploaded it!?

TransOre International may not be very visible online but it's clear that they have been around for a while; see these links from 2014 of them acquiring shares of a company

Hi markliddiard, yes lots of talk on corruption, sure many would not be on these boards if that was there genuine concern. I thought the presidents speech was uplifting, yes he mentioned shareholders, this company and others, but he mostly spoke for the people, there benefit, and the benefit to the country, sounded to me like he was trying to take the country, from where it is, to a better place. this or any other president turning back the clock makes no sense to me. talking of clocks, time is running out before the next RNS lands. watch this space!

Would love to get independent confirmation of this - nothing on the internet except their own words that I can see...

“They bring a sizeable logistics operation, which we believe is more aligned with Contango’s objectives moving forward as we develop Muchesu,”

They seem to be late again..

"Next week the weighbridge will be activated enabling the trucks to be weighed pre and post loading of coal, thereby enabling first #CGO sales..."

The above tweet was from the 27th-so 12 days ago? Wonder how long the market will stay patient over this offtake after A-Z their last "partner" answered pi's questions with offtake what offtake?

Zimbabwean coal producers don't have it easy getting their coal to market, because of the country's decayed rail network. For Contango, TransOre has the advantage of having a logistics affiliate African Rail International. It has rail access, locomotives and port access through the Dry Bulk Terminal at Maputo."They bring a sizeable logistics operation, which we believe is more aligned with Contango's objectives moving forward as we develop Muchesu," Contango CEO Carl Esprey says.

Paulhopeful - I like the sentiments of your post, and would like to add / stress that this company is operating in Zimbabwe. I believe that everyone knows what this country has gone through in the last 40 years, and what they are having to do, to bring their country back!! Some have mentioned corruption, yet not mentioned alot of other challenges that they have faced!...yet, here and now, they have and continue to pull themselves up from their boot straps, which shows an awful lot of tenacity, determination and grit!I believe that the presidential visit as an extremely poignant event!Hence, watch this space! IMHO!

Thank you gentleman, wise words from you both and much appreciated. goforgold1, I feel your enthusiasm, have spent most of the day reading, can see this could develop in to a monster, thanks for the telegram tip. unionhall: Lots of sound advice, thank you. 1/ 750 Mtonnes reserve .. so only 3,125 year mine life. no more drilling required for a while 3/ and 4/ hopefully with there new development strategy, things have changed? but agree there is no denying the past. 5/ totally agree. 6/ yes that is my concern its sounds to good too be true? or is the bargain the century ? 7/ thank you sounds promising 2/ totally agree, they have scored an own goal... but that is where I see the opportunity Now, If the weighbridge was complete on time, possibly the share price would not of slipped to this level ? I can see caution is required, but surely, now just before we receive news is the time to bag a bargain, or dip 1 toe in? many thanks to you both.

That's up to you if you buy or not it's come a long way to be honest to get to this level in this country is very good . Just Carl was telling to many lies i think or i hope he has Leary his lesson . Elections in 20 days who ever win will need CGO to supply their power plant near by SA could be another customer but they will want it cheap once Autumn and Winter returns Coal will go on a run

paulhopeful,

1/ not all the resource is confirmed - (750mtonnes is the Reserve figure from memory.)

2/ Every deadline they have set themselves over the past 24 months has not been met.

3/ They are in Zimbabwe - approx 150th in the World corruption index.

4/ The president is facing election in under 20days - treat his words with a bucketload of salt.

5/ Making any sort of projections here is a mugs game.

6/ Usually when something is too good to be true - it is just that - particularly on AIM.

7/ However loans have been at a conversion rate of 6p per share and per the recent RNS the most recent Stg£1.5 m was Unsecured and non-convertible which IF TRUE shows amazing confidence. Pretty unheard of.

So if they manage to get sales rolling all bets are off - if you are not in you can't win (or lose).

The whole thing is a coin toss imho and I will wait until the coin settles before making an investment.

I appreciate its a sunday, does anyone know of a similar reverse takeover ? 6 million doesn't sound that much for a resource of 2.6 billion tons ?? at a production rate of 20'000 tons a month, there would be a mine life of over 10'000 years ? would an increase in staff to 500, be used to ramp up production at the current block ? or to open up some of the other blocks ? impressed with the pictures on telegram, the size of this project is mind blowing. thanks in advance for any response.
