why would they make an offer for a cash burning liability? if MTR believed in the license potential they could sit this out (take the hit) and then just take it off the administrators for small change

or was it just yet another decision re-affirming the apparent lifestyle nature of the business......much easier to get to Campus West than Merrion Square... !!!!!

Having said that, isn't it funny that they are apparently not the only exploration company with an address at 3300.......

I pointed out earlier this evening on the kdr bb that it was a cost saving exercise.Saving money is good but if they were about to land the jackpot with either a gold or diamond mine why move out of the city centre to some dump miles away to save money !

According to Paul Johnson, who was at the helm of MTR when the prof seduced them, Prof was at the investor show on the weekend, networking or at least so speculated Johnson, looking for possible investors:)

Mcap is now less than a decent size London or Dublin house, it needs to get taken over or management replaced with a more energetic team a la Bowleven. But whoever does it needs to get some deals lined up first. A lower share price might suit them, not LTH's of course.

Why does something have to happen here soon?

I think the odds overwhelmingly favour nothing of note transpiring.
As ever.

No news from the company so far in 2017. O Sullivan continues to increase his holding which is odd. After so many years of ensuring he was largest shareholder the prof isn't any more. Has he taken his eye off the ball. Something has got to happen here soon

Maybe some of these pigs could fly and S Fitz / Capvest could organise some funding for CGNR. I won't hold my breath.CGNR shareholders appear to be following Finland developments these days. One thing for sure is that there hasn't been much news from Ireland to follow. One gets the impression CGNR is on hold pending Karelian developments. It's possible, but we have no idea what's going on at CGNR or if anything is coming from these annual PDAC trips. Can't remember the last time CGNR released a meaningful RNS.

He owns cinemas and he's refurbishing a big house I think in Dublin there was an article several weeks back, don't think he's a miner but nor do I think he's a buddy increasing his stake to provide moral support...if he was, why would he buy in the market, instead he'd get a nod and wait for the next placing if that's what's going to happen.

MTR still have a holding too as far as I'm aware, at considerably higher than current share price Pressure will be put on Prof sooner or later imo.

I will take note when a highly regarded professional in the pm mining space buys rather than some chum of CONroy with money to burn.
