11/2/2016 08:28 | steeplejack, Harking back to the 80's? This is 2016 and a speculative junior gold explorer in C.America, and cannot be compared to main market stocks from 30 years ago! And as we all know rights issues and placings are different beasts entirely. I would expect the share price to roll back to just above the placing price if one is done, which I expect to be fairly soon. I do not expect a deal on the property if MC is holding out for the often mooted $56 per ounce that is often quoted here, or anything close to it. And you have to consider that a placing may be subject to forward selling, which was highlighted by the farcical NEW placing last year, which opened a few eyes including mine as to how that system works for the benefit of deeper pocketed individuals with good brokers as opposed to online trading retail investors. | ![]() andy
11/2/2016 08:27 | RIOs has put the cat amongst the pigeons. The forecast for the current year is for a dividend of "not less than 110US cents".That gives you a prospective yield of around 4.6% ,about a full point lower than the current yield on offer at Legal&General, let alone Glaxo.A further knock for the mining sector if not the market in general. If the large miners slash the dividend then it will probably encourage other companies to moderate their payouts. | ![]() steeplejack
11/2/2016 08:20 | Gold at $1210 is the good news for this morning. | ![]() 888icb
11/2/2016 08:17 | PoG 1,209.13 +14.43 +1.21% Up to the individual to decide how relevant to cnr, currently, that is Steeplejack Not sure how relevant your last post is. I am yet to see either of those posting. These bbs are for people to discuss matters | usmcgs
11/2/2016 08:12 | Steeplejack Good, well put, polite post. I agree. I did mean usually or perhaps more often or not. I think it recent years, on aim and cnr, a company usually goes down further after the placing. Yes there are other options but not really sure if they would happen. Not sure what bits could reasonably sell | usmcgs
11/2/2016 08:09 | They're doing it because they don't have anything better to do.You don't get Warren Buffet or George Soros banging on ad nauseum trying to determine whether a trade is a buy or a sell! | ![]() steeplejack
11/2/2016 08:07 | I agree with the earlier post that Andy is a dreamer. He just tries to hide it, which is why I filtered him weeks ago. I just say it the way I see it at the time ..... positive or negative. | usmcgs
11/2/2016 07:49 | "We all know the after a placing the share price always seems to go lower" Not always true in fact.In the early 80s and prior to the crash in 1987,the rights issues of better quality stocks actually rose on the announcement of fund raising. If the gold market continues strong, now over $1200,any fund raising could be well received as such issues were back some 6 years .Its a big "IF" of course but so is the assumption that Condor would have a distressed placing after a slump in share price.Any decision to have a placing would require a explorative chat with the larger holders and then, there's MC with a 10% equity holding, maybe he doesn't feel the time is right to cough up more money p.a.There are numerous considerations which are ignored by a simplistic comment that a placing is on the way.Look at Herencia,it's just sold its Picachos copper prospect to a Chilean private consortium. Perhaps a statement saying prices USUALLY go lower after a placing would be more accurate. | ![]() steeplejack
10/2/2016 20:03 | From lse:"who are you, newby? some of us have been here for many years so don't necessarily feel the need to be commenting here incessantly. and also, of course, we're mostly at work."Funny how they can all find time on a ramp lol | usmcgs
10/2/2016 19:30 | 888 is going on about being comfortable because of the industry value. Unfortunately we have just come out of an offer period with no suitable offer forthcoming. MC has since stated there is unlikely to be 1 in the near future. This blows the ramper jibbo ' s views out of the water. A part sale could have been organised in the offer period but it wasn't. Unfortunately aim is not noted for people investing long term, which may or may not happen | usmcgs
10/2/2016 18:46 | Interesting 888, not been watching CNR closely today but was surprised to check your observation re buys and sells. Agree share price drop is surprising given buys at full ask. Conclusion, a big sell order? Or an insider ii selling on knowledge of a placing? Maybe just a big pi selling? Who knows. Re Andy, I agree he leans consistently to the negative on CNR. But I kinda like him as he provides reasoned negative balanced, even if a little touchy when challenged (no offence Andy). | ![]() temujiin
10/2/2016 18:18 | Andy Having been out most of the day I note that at the end of play Buys outweighed sells about 4 to 1 with 244000 shares purchased. Not sure why we ended 6% down. What we do know from recent events is that Condor can rise very quickly if the buy volume picks up but tends to drift down on low volume. I am fairly positive based on the real industry value of Condor that Condor will be sold at a multiple of today's share price I sense that you are more in tune with the derampers but at least you are more subtle in your style. | ![]() 888icb
10/2/2016 18:07 | We all know the after a placing the share price always seems to go lower | usmcgs
10/2/2016 16:47 | usmcgs - i wonder if we're not far off the level of PP or if it's still well south of here. my guess is the former, but wtfdik. | ![]() bumpa33
10/2/2016 16:42 | With the buys vastly out numbering sells it seems that we have a background seller or a placing in the air | usmcgs
10/2/2016 12:26 | You can sell just about any amount @ 30.25 so maybe they are filling a buy order | usmcgs
10/2/2016 11:59 | I think MC has his head buried in the ground It is all very well have all these 'wonderful reports' but the company is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it He doesn't to become a producer so this could just sit around for years with placing after placing | usmcgs
10/2/2016 11:53 | and there's the 20s | usmcgs
10/2/2016 11:33 | Temujiin You seem to be suffering from the stress of investing in this company lol As sure as eggs are eggs money will be raised in the not so very distant future | usmcgs
10/2/2016 11:11 | Andy, who knows when or if a placing is being done but you have been regularly suggesting it since at least Dec. Andy - 18 Dec 2015 - 17:35:32 - 11358 of 13675 I agree, but the end of Q1 is only 3 months away! In market terms that is not a lot of time, and makes me feel that maybe they are currently trying to run a financing now. I'm sure someone some day will be bang on the money! :) | ![]() temujiin
10/2/2016 10:57 | 888icb, Yet strangely the shareprice is down around 10%, how do you account for that? Large sell being worked through perhaps? Or the long awaited placing being done? | ![]() andy
10/2/2016 10:44 | Anyone else noticed how quiet lse have gone. Rampers sold out | usmcgs
10/2/2016 10:17 | After a brief respite now heading down again | usmcgs
10/2/2016 09:43 | better bid down at these levels, so maybe some interest, though can change either way in the blink of an eye. | ![]() bumpa33 |
