28/11/2013 19:34 | From the unfortunately named Eric Coffin Grade is king, but MARGIN is the key. Majors are focused on margin per ounce produced. You can get high margins with a lower-grade deposit if everything goes right but, by and large, the higher grade the better the margin should be. It comes down to net present value (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR). Companies now want gold projects that can be built for $100150 million ($100150M) with NPVs of $300M or $400M and all-in cash costs of $600-800/oz-assuming they're big enough. They don't want to go too small because they can spread themselves only so thin. I don't see majors picking up 50,000-ounce-per-yea | mlangton1

25/11/2013 21:09 | These stocks will recover. If you have the money to leave for several months or even a couple of years, these should be O.K. Probably best not to read the thread or watch the charts in times like these though. | loverat
25/11/2013 21:03 | Trader Having been in for the best part of a year and sitting on a near 50% loss it doesn't feel like a good place to be in...! My fault probably but I sincerely hope CNR's chart heads in the other direction and soon! | honestjim2
25/11/2013 07:55 | very good company to be invested in Mark has suggested the strategy will now change to 100% open pit production | trader2201
24/11/2013 20:14 | I think the point to make is the paper price is manipulated .With QE running at $85bln per month there is plenty of cash to throw at paper gold . The question is for how long before the shorts are called to deliver ? The short covering should be quite spectacular for the price of gold when the event happens . Big sell order brings gold down $10 in 10 seconds as market rigging continues to hold prices down | saturdaygirl
24/11/2013 18:45 | I dont buy the gold price is being manipulated myself, the price is at is, and at the moment the trend is south i'm afraid! | jeanesy2
24/11/2013 17:48 | As gold price is manipulated, gold price forecasts are fantasy | misteron |
