05/10/2012 06:57 | Nice start on the way to $5k/oz | scientologyweirdo
05/10/2012 00:39 | BlackRock fund manager Evy Hambro who invests in the precious metal and gold equities, predicted that QE3 could result in the gold price hitting US$2,400/oz by the middle of next summer. In his gold report this week he said: "The gold chart has turned decidedly bullish with the 50-day moving average rising above the 200-day moving average. The last time this happened was in February 2009, which interestingly was shortly after the implementation of QE1. Then, gold was $900/oz and never looked back. Should we witness a similar rally, prices would be taken to $2,400/oz by midsummer next year and $1,760/oz would be the new floor." | yoda5442
04/10/2012 22:12 | That would help! QE3 could push gold up to $2,400/oz Quantitative easing could cause a rally in the gold price, with the precious metal hitting $2,400/oz by next summer. Gold could hit an all-time high of $2,400 by next summer, driven up by a third round of quantitative easing in the US. The first round of QE in February 2009 caused the gold price to increase rapidly from a base of $900/oz from which it has never looked back. BlackRock fund manager Evy Hambro who invests in the precious metal and gold equities, predicted that QE3 could result in the gold price hitting US$2,400/oz by the middle of next summer. | forearmed

03/10/2012 09:50 | Any buyer will probably disregard inferred (or pay little for it), we really ought only be pricing ourselves on indicated right now. The position in 12 months maybe entirely different of course. Most (not all) of the speculation I see is based on the whole resource as if it were indicated rather than predominantly (at the moment) inferred. Our time will come but patience is the key here as it always has been. | sunjammer
03/10/2012 09:39 | Another excellent post from Jibbo on the lse bb. Sale values Today 09:52 In my opinion we have now become a take over target having smashed through the important 2 million oz mark to stand at around 2.4 million oz at La India. Many of the big producers will only look at explorers with 2 million oz +. The PEA in Oct/Nov will put us firmly on the radar of the big producers as it will confirm the very low operational costs of our large high grade open pit resource. MC has in the past talked about selling for around $200 an oz.. If we look at the recent Extorre deal this now looks more and more credible. Extorre went for around $168 an oz for their 2.4 million oz resource which combined small open pits with high grade underground mining in Argentina. Politically Nicaragua looks a better bet than Argentina at present so the fact that Extorre received $168 is encouraging. At the current rate of return from our drilling and particularly if we once again get many new ounces from within the old mine workings (of the America vein this time) it is very likely that in about another six to eight months we will be well past 3 million oz. Just based on economies of scale that should ensure that we command around the $200 an oz level, although it is worth remembering that Ventana and Fronteer Gold were sold last year for $350 and $400 an oz respectively at a time when gold was nearer to $1400. I think we can certainly get to 3.5 million oz based on money raised from 5 million shares. 3 million oz at $200 per oz and 33 million shares in issue = £11.36 per share. 3.5 million oz at $200 per share and 35 million shares in issue = £12.50 per share If a post PEA bid came in at $168 for 2.5 million oz that would equate to £8.59 per share. We are due to get the PEA in a month or so's time | deadcert
02/10/2012 21:33 | LOL depends on weather you bought an explorer or miner Limited mining to fund exploration is fine by me . | saturdaygirl

02/10/2012 20:06 | Muppet that's why I hold Jeez some posters! Where do they come from? | judijudi
02/10/2012 19:56 | Judi How to value an explorer , from LSE Jibbo Just a long standing bit of fun on here, based on 4 million oz selling for $400 an oz. An awful lot would have to go right for that to happen! We'll still have a party on sale day whatever the value. More realistic targets are listed below: When we pass 2 million oz THIS week we will become a genuine take-over target. With 2.2 million oz approx in Nicaragua it is worth looking at some possible sale values pre BFS: 1. $80 an oz equates to £3.60 per share. 2. $100 an oz equates to £4.50 per share 3. $150 an oz equates to £6.75 per share Post BFS we will command a higher sale price - $200+ 1. 2.5 million oz with 35 million shares in issue = £8.92 per share 2. 3.0 million oz with 37.5 million shares in issue = £10 per share 3. 4.0 million oz with 40 million shares in issue = £12.50 per share That assumes a flat rate of £200 an oz. The higher PoG since the Ventana and Fronteer Gold sales last year at $350 and $400 an oz suggests that economies of scale will result in a higher sale price. Plenty of ifs and buts involved but the above gives some idea. | saturdaygirl
02/10/2012 19:37 | "Thats great if your mining some" What do think will happen next ? The gold can`t just evaporate can it . Plain daft comment if you ask me ! | saturdaygirl
02/10/2012 19:31 | Yes fantastic That's why I hold Jeez us some posters are sooooooo dense | judijudi |
