I have seen Mark Child present in London a few times and I have also watched his interviews on various media outlets, based on this I have to say his recent appearances are not the same, he looks jaded and worn down.

I suspect Jim Mellon has had enough and told him so, Child is a good storyteller and would happily continue the Condor monologue for many more years if he could but Mellon has decided to monetise his investment, as a result he is now in the driving seat.

Child looks worried as well as jaded, he probably realises he is going to lose his job in due course and is possibly worried about the future.

As for value, well my view is they will struggle to get their £85m project spend back in current markets, nonetheless if they get close it equates to 45p-50p a share.

It is a con. $80 million spent and nothing to show for it other than a few hectares of land, some mill equipment that we don't plan to use and a buyer probably wont want, some concessions and a folder full of reports about what might, or might not, be in the ground.

Pointless.

The training has stopped

In the positive side I belive cnr when it says that government is supporting cnr. Question is where this support will lead us with the coop’s land.

Hopefully for current shareholders there is a recovery from here, and as all goes well for the rest of the stakeholders.

To be fair We are having very bad luck lately, and a large part of it is outside cnr hands. All miners in Nicaragua have been haemorrhaging blood. Calibre has been recovering

Why doesn't CNR do more training of the locals, so their lot can be improved. I think
there was/is some work provided to the locals at some stage in the past.

That might be the way to encourage the locals to be more supportive of CNR, because so far there's been and continues to be an impase. The only definite just now is the continuation of directors' salaries and fees.

Even miners expect people around them are bribed
It is sad when people are poor, some outside the village do not have electricity or water at home. Condor has improved things on these villages, thank you very much for that.
However Bribery , even at small scale, probably feeds poverty, and brings evil in people.

I agree ; the con isn't with the gold itself; it's the directors who are conning us.
Just how many other companies have got the same type of lengthy history as CNR !

Of all the corrupt regimes in the world, Nicaragua must be close to winning the World Cup on that 'score'. All the important people there seem to be corrupt, so the directors naturally feel quite at home in that type of environment. A bit like a duck taking to water.

I'm thinking that if it smells like a con and tastes like a con, why it really must be a con. Stupid me for being taken in.

Hi OldieGoldie – thank you for your concern. Just watched Mark in his latest interview – more lack lustre than usual! CNR is on the back-foot, no doubt. JM could have walked away, but the fact that he has taken on the high-vis role as Chairman now places CNR around his neck. Billionaires tend to have quite an ego and JM is probably no different. In that regard he will want to protect the ‘narrative,217; and deliver some form of desired outcome. Whilst this will come at a heavy price to existing shareholders, I do see a value of more than 15p per share, Accordingly, I will be taking up my full allocation under the rights issue and put in a request for considerably more. I hope all goes well with you.

It suited Condor to have the SAG mill and the First Majestic on the share register to give the impression that they knew what they were doing.

We know better now.

Who in the world are this shorting crew? If they exist they are smart as a whip as condor is trading at 5 year ++ lows. Beats any of us gormless fools.

Yes indeeed it does appear that the screws are being turned on the shorting crew.

Does it ? I see no evidence of a short squeeze ?

Yes Zangdook but if we were going to sell we could have binned the plan to buy a SAG mill and kept that money to keep the lights in while buyer was sought. Then no need to have a cash raise.

Anyone who takes this on will have far more kit / access to kit than Condor will ever have so would hardly need us to have bought something in advance.

You are right, MC should stick to tobogganing.

You know i used to follow TW and even met him at an event back in the day.He used to be an excellent tipster but when he went over to Rivington Street Holdings on his own website he really lost all objectivity and it cost a lot of people a lot of money.

I never quite understood why he felt the need to do that - a real shame.
