Zangdook there is a certain truth in what you write. If I were smart I should just have bought an S&P500 ETF 15 years ago.

Let's hope we at least salvage our 'initial investment' at the very least. GLA. HAGWA.

The simple fact is that most junior exploratory miners do not fare well. Even an idiot taking the negative side as a general stance on such companies looks ‘clever,’; statistically speaking. CNR still has some skin in the game, so be thankful for that. Whatever the shortcomings, the gold price may be the final arbiter – as I type, gold is once again over £1600 per troy ounce. We have all been conditioned to expect the gold price to be ‘leant upon’ (and this may well happen), even though the rationale for such action is diminishing by the day. Have a good weekend, all.

Emphasis on „non-binding“.
But anyway the sale as such is not the problem, it’s what happens with the Cash afterwards

they cannot lie in an RNS

'The sales process is now entering the end of its first phase with various parties having conducted site visits and others ongoing. Three formal expressions of interest including 2 non-binding offers (subject to further due diligence) have been received by the Company and further offers are expected as nine companies are under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).'

Two offers have been received already.

Poll:

At Master Investor, will the CNR stand be
a) MC lying about how well the sale process is going, or
b) Jimbo explaining how he's redirecting the cash from asset sales into some horrible life sciences startup

according to the company he has 20.18% so he has a bit of headroom, though not necessarily enough to exercise everything. If he actually wants to exercise his 50p warrants he may need your help. Let's hope.

JM owns 29.9% or thereabouts plus he will have accrued additional options at higher prices over the years that have not been exercised.
If he is to avoid owning more than the limit whereby he has to bid for the company, he will have to use a flunky to exercise his options and juggle his holdings. If I am right, I put myself forward to be his compliant flunky.

Maybe the only way I am going to recover my investment ;-)

888 probably believes we have all the land and we're going to be mining it ourselves and we have the full backing of the government and the local community.

So anybody who doesn't take the happy pill is a deramper ?

A look at the 3+ years' share price graph suggests the number of 'ignorant' derampers, who have preferred to look at reality outside the box, have greatly exceeded those 'realists' who still believe in Santa Clause.

We'll see.

An interesting post on lse this morning from Dictumdedicto who has commented on CNR over many years:
“ I’ve rationalised my thoughts on valuations based on market prices of in the ground resource. Somewhere around the 65p mark in share price terms. But I now think the game has changed.

We have robust interest in the assets.

The price of gold is on the way up.

The jungle drums suggest that we should be thinking bigger, more in terms of the $400m NPV rather than $100 - $200m When MC suggested that we didn’t have the interest we now have.

There will indeed be value in the CNR shell once the assets are sold.

To cut a long story short, while I don’t think the share price will reach the value of the asset sale I do think that £1 asset value in equivalent share price terms will not be a million miles wide of the mark. With the latter in mind I’m also dubious about whether all the options and warrants will get exercised on the way up. This will be one of the factors holding the share price down and encouraging profit taking from traders.

In summary I’ve edged towards a far more optimistic view of the eventual outcome.”
It is a lot more sensible than the utter garbage still being spouted by the deramping tag team that has infested this bb for far too long.

Bring the share price to £1 and we would have an excellent sentiment.

We need to make managers accountable, perhaps that helps in the long term?

Bcs
1st all Nicaraguan miners have seen a sharp decline in their valuations as the risk for the country has increased with the sanctions
2nd bcs after two years plus we don’t know how much we will need to pay for the rest of the land
3rd bcs cacao drilling was not successful in increasing reserves. we should have drill much deeper (which is very expensive) probably in excess of 500m deep rather that 150m.
4th bcs during the last 3 years we multiplied the number of shares and warrants by a huge percentage to keep the lights on during all these delays.
5-it seems we are not shovel ready yet, and buyers have put conditions on us that we only suspect (land, buying back royalties to get a better price,….) so market is in the dark
6 bcs more shares may need to be issued any time, may be the recent boosting in the share price has that as short term objective

Wellcome to aim

Condor were originally aiming for X amount of proven gold in the ground and the expectation was that this would result in a share price of £1+.

The gold reserves ARE proven as expected. So why is the share price only 25p ?

I was expecting more of a fall today in the share price – the '3 day effect' is considered a ‘fundamental’ by some – let’s see what the share price is by close of play today.

Well we can all rest easy now - Credit Suisse accepted a $54bn bailout from the Swiss central bank. In the grand scheme of things, chump change, no doubt?
