I sold my shares in the past week. The price has hit a target I need to buy a property which could come to market in the near future. Been a wicked ride. Was a wrench to sell. My good fortune to holders! |
It’s not on the list of FCA Recognised overseas investment exchanges. This means that Concurrent will not lose its BPR status. |
Being very old l have a high proportion of my portfolio invested in AIM stocks so that my heirs can benefit from Business Relief from IHT on them. Although the rate of relief has been halved, it is still valuable. Unfortunately it does not apply to stocks also quoted on another exchange and l fear that my CNC shares will no longer qualify. So l have mixed feelings about this development. |
It's on days' like this that I refer back to this wonderful video;
Ambitions to be a multi billion pound company.
From £170m there is a heck of a long way to run here, and the strong valuation will massively help with accretive M&A.
The US buying support elevates CNC to the next level above the depressing AIM dross. I think we'll be talking about the FTSE250 in the not too distant future. |
ADVFN recognises the new ticker COTGF, so that's a good start. |
News seems to be liked. |
Probably because an institution with a mandate that only allows them to invest in US listed stocks has expressed an interest in taking a stake . |
Never really fathomed the mechanics of a dual listing. No new ordinary shares to be issued , so no dilution in that regard. No mention of ADRs, so what actually is traded ? Read up on cross-listings just now, but is that the case here ie. Same shares traded on two exchanges ? Would appreciate any knowledgeable comment. Thanks |
Surprised by this news but i can see the logic behind it. They need to do this to win more orders and gain traction in the States.
Of course that also means they are getting increasingly recognised in the industry and you do wonder if it's just a matter of time before someone makes a move.. |
I've seen a few companies list on OTC and not really seen many trades on there. |
Yes this is a nice surprise, was expecting a longer consolidation but mustn't grumble. |
Not going to get the volume, but the share price movement is nice nevertheless. |
A new breakout underway from a short base . Need to see it close strongly on big volume to confirm (500,000 +) |

Why Defense Stocks Could Take a Hit From a Red Wave
The worst election outcome for defense stocks just might a red wave, with a win for former President Donald Trump and Republican control of both houses of Congress.
“The role of Elon Musk in a Trump Administration could be a wild card for large U.S. primes and federal/defense services,” Callan said. While Musk believes he could cut U.S. federal spending by trillions of dollars a year., some of that would likely come from defense.

Defense Chief Hegseth Halts New Army Contracts for Review
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is halting all new Army contract awards as well as solicitations for new programs, sending shock waves through the defense industry, according to two people familiar with the pause and an email reviewed by Bloomberg Government.
The pause could last as little as 10 days but could potentially continue for months, the two people said. The people spoke on condition of anonymity because the Pentagon move has not yet been made public.
The hold comes in part to review diversity, equity and inclusion clauses in contracting, but it’s also a review that new administrations can do to gauge priorities and free up funding. The review doesn’t affect performance on contracts already awarded.

Biggest shareholder premier, talk positively about CNC (39.30 minutes in.) |
Looks like the Spanish army are upgrading. |
Nice 370k buy earlier.. probably accounted for yesterday's price movement. Great to see the serious interest being maintained. |
CNC - what a brilliant share (!) - 185p the lowest ask now on show. Most recent previous finals results were published 1st May 2024.

Just think of all those contracts paying in USD.. rubbish day, but bright times. |

China builds huge new wartime military command centre in Beijing
China’s military is building a massive complex in western Beijing that US intelligence believes will serve as a wartime command centre far larger than the Pentagon, according to current and former American officials.
Satellite images obtained by the Financial Times that are being examined by US intelligence show a roughly 1,500-acre construction site 30km south-west of Beijing with deep holes that military experts assess will house large, hardened bunkers to protect Chinese military leaders during any conflict — including potentially a nuclear war.
Several current and former US officials said the intelligence community is closely monitoring the site, which would be the world’s largest military command centre — and at least 10 times the size of the Pentagon. |
Interested to hear about new premises and scaling up of production. They'll need it with all these contracts rolling in. Nice start to the week. |
More good news! |
