I am fairly impressed by the drilling and assays to date. They have confirmed good grades and decent intervals of copper/silver and silver, and claim to have discovered a manto, a pancake or tabular shaped blanket of mineralised ore, and this must surely now be the focus of phase three.

The biggest problem for GSCU is access to capital. So far they've relied purely on placings, and exercising of warrants and options by insiders who appear to have immediately been sold, presumed because there was no holdings RNS.

The next stage isn't drilling. The next stage is presenting the thesis to investors and trying to raise capital for phase 3.

The question is if they have serious financial backing or not. Will a serious investor pump in $5m or $10m to undertake an extensive drilling program and possibly a CPR?

This is VERY early stage, high risk but potentially very high reward, at the start of a ten or fifteen year project.

Warrants exercised a while back by insiders at 2.5p, no holdings rns so must all be flogged off now to private investors, and now the share price is lower than exercise price.

Placing coming, must be at 1p ish.

The fact is, these have no money.

They need money, and the only way they can get money in these deliver some great assays that encourage investors to participate in a placing, to raise sufficient capital to drill phase 3.

I think they'll want to raise capital quickly, keeps the rigs working, but they may have to go away for six months and interpret the assays, and do the rounds with the begging bowl out.

Stonking good assays will be easy to sell, but today's price action is not encouraging.

Share prices move immediately if day traders pile in, but they soon sell up, and this volatility is unhelpful.

With news like we had last week it takes a little time for serious investors to read up, research, maybe even email the company, then divert funds to potentially take significant holdings depending on price activity and general market trends.

The news from Iran will weigh on markets for a week or two, but the GSCU story will continue.

Fairly sure we'll see significant buying over the next month or two, particularly as we hear more about further assays and plans for phase 3.

As I mentioned before, the company will require significant funding, so a placing is virtually nailed on, the questions being what price, how many, and when?

Many investors may simply await placing news and invest then, steady and safe, but others will try to beat the market by taking a chance before then hoping the placing is at a much higher price.

There is also a possibility of a takeover or JV, but I think it is too soon for anything like that.

For anyone who wants to explore this company's prospects and portfolio.
Hoping to get it at a rock bottom price, perhaps?

Who knows?

No need to place shares when directors exercise warrants for peanuts then immediately sell, making a profit for them and providing a little funding for GSCU. Warrants are a no lose bets, but they only win when they sell for more than they cost...

Total guess - but it feels like a fundrise on the horizon, to build up warchest for Phase III drilling & beyond. Gut feel priced somewhere around 4p. Just hope they keep warrants count under control. May keep a lid on share price for a a week or two. All good & healthy, they are in a very strong position to secure funding for growth. very happy to hold my investment here, and once funding is out of the way, this should be multiples by end of year.

At 4.25p the mkt cap is just £24.

Are the licenses worth £24m given the uncertain viability at this stage, despite great grades and reported intervals?

On balance my opinion is that drilling has so far been very encouraging, but as Sam said "lots more work to do".

I read that to mean he sees justification in raising further capital and getting the other rig which he said he wanted, the question then is how much money he thinks he needs, if the market is supportive, and at what price the placing will be.

Today's news of warrants being exercised does give us more cash, but warrants are only exercised so the holder can take advantage of the higher price and sell. If they don't intend to sell why exercise?
Why sell unless they think it better to sell now than take a chance?
