21/10/2005 08:35 | no position in this one...short or long....but as they say the UN stuff account to 1% of thier income Well....as they say | jaafar1
21/10/2005 08:13 | CEO in trouble The company has also suspended Peter Harris, chief executive of the group's UK & Ireland, Middle East and Africa division. His duties have been temporarily given to Gary Green, chief executive of the Americas Division and some hectic trading going on | psps
21/10/2005 08:08 | betman, never average down M8. i was gonna buy these yesterday at 190p but hesitated cause i think shares have not bottomed yet i agree with Elsworth | psps
20/10/2005 23:12 | Chart showing new lows.......this should be testing £1.35/£1.50, Can't see todays price as the floor...downtrend is pretty visible!! | elsworth
20/10/2005 15:50 | yesterdays daily telegraph says Gardner the new boss has a mess to sort out. not promising. | careful
20/10/2005 14:22 | I think we have hit the near term bottom, with cashflow and dividends keeping this as a support level. Not anticipating a buyout , just long slow recovery to 230p as fundamentals of the business re-assert. I am Long Topped up at 186, average buy price down to 208 | betman
20/10/2005 09:55 | nearly a week has gone by and NO Post fron you guys. have you all given up then. | psps
15/10/2005 10:36 | idea is for a private equity company to buyscompass and break it up. Elior buys SSP and the rest by others. bid could come above 250p, if it comes. | nirag patel
14/10/2005 22:27 | Stuck in a downtrend | firenza1
14/10/2005 14:32 | says very little. how will they pay? who would partner them? CPG have said they want to remain as the food supplier. hard to see elior agreeing to that | i maximus
14/10/2005 12:36 | Maximus. The RNS says it all. "We can't not be interested. At the moment we are awaiting information," "At first glance, there is an OBVIOUS GEOGRAPHIC COMPLIMENTARY. SSB is primarily present in the Anglo-Saxon world while Elior operates in France, Spain, Latin America," he told the business daily. It would be an operation of a very significant scale and Elior could not do it alone, but "we are ready to take part in a study, with others," Zolade said. | dhb368
14/10/2005 12:26 | I Maximus Ditto! Lots of questions. Sodexho are quite bullish, will they enter the fray? I think CPG management don't really give a damn for the nitty-gritty of the logistics, as long as they flog it and the City approves, then Directors can 'gracefully' quit with good share options. Although CPG have indicated certain return of 'value' to shareholders from any sale, I do feel we will still be under a cloud from the current inefficient management until there are sweeping changes. This is definitely a 'fire' sale! | bahtat
14/10/2005 12:14 | anyone know whats the market cap of elior? how would SSP fit? does it have travel concessions business or pure contract catering? how would it feel about CPG supplying the food? lots of questions, any views? | i maximus
14/10/2005 10:17 | nirag it is at the top of this page. up about 20 cms. | careful
14/10/2005 10:16 | scroll up to news 13/10/05. | bahtat
14/10/2005 10:15 | bahtat- where is this news? i cannot find it. thanks | nirag patel
14/10/2005 10:03 | niraj I think it's due to the interest in SSP from Elior (France). A possible bidding war for SSP could drive this further upwards in the short term. | bahtat
14/10/2005 10:00 | up again, 6p so far at 200p, cannot find any reasons though !! | nirag patel
13/10/2005 17:27 | This is a large company and will take time to turn around, but only by a new ceo who needs to be appointed asap. The new chairman elect needs to come on board also asap. The present chairman and ceo have just watched a disaster happen and their incompetence is being paid for by us shareholders. The institutional holders have not been hard enough with them. Another case of the old boys network. | paraiso
13/10/2005 16:55 | beware the whiplash :) | i maximus
13/10/2005 15:48 | turning up nicely +3.5p at 194p from as low as 188p | nirag patel
12/10/2005 20:47 | 180p looks pretty inevitable as the markets pull back. CPG looks a total mess right now, but hey - it's all in the price. There's huge upside potential with just a bit of good news, but they DO need to get their house in order first. | evilwebby
12/10/2005 16:37 | simon, it is a matter of temperament. i must be a collector or horder. till death us do part etc. sometimes it works out but compass worries me. | careful |
