SmoggyG - couldn't honestly say I'm upset by your losses on MRS but when I wished you well it was sincere as its bad form to gloat about another's misfortunes but I make an exception in your case because there is the chance you may change your ways! I see your disgruntled ' fan base ' has multiplied since the latest loss making debacle over on MRS - time for another change of moniker 12bn?

OPEC+ Succeeds, What’s Next For Oil?

Oil prices spiked on Friday on news from Vienna.

OPEC+ managed to pull off an eleventh-hour agreement, checking all the boxes after a contentious set of meetings. There were a lot of competing interests at play, but the agreement offers a little bit of everything, enough for all parties to walk away satisfied.

The headliner is the 1.2 million-barrel-per-day (mb/d) cut beginning in January, with a review scheduled for April. OPEC will shoulder 800,000 bpd of the total, and non-OPEC countries will take on the other 400,000 bpd. The baseline used to measure the cuts is October production levels.

The cut is larger than some analysts had expected, especially given the rumors swirling on Thursday about a cut of around 1 mb/d. In fact, one could argue that the group cleverly managed market expectations, lowering them on Thursday only to surprise the market with a larger cut on Friday. Prior to the meeting 1.2 mb/d might have been considered a middle-of-the-road cut, but after the seemingly tumultuous set of meetings on Thursday and early Friday, a 1.2 mb/d cut ends up looking like a highly successful result...

Russia’s Oil Production Cuts To Take Months To Implement

After Russia agreed on Friday to cut its oil production as part of the non-OPEC group tasked with cutting 400,000 bpd of oil production, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said it would take Russia “months” to get down to its requested level.

While there were no specific figures or targets released to the public for each individual member of the OPEC and non-OPEC groups to hit, non-OPEC was saddled with a 400,000 bpd burden, while OPEC itself agreed to cut 800,000 bpd. Unofficial sources, according to Tass, has Russia’s portion of the cuts pegged at 228,000 bpd, which is 2% of its October levels...

Smoggy/12bn. I've just been reading your posts from the past couple of weeks, I've been away (which having read your posts was a good thing). You are just like an old stuck-record, same old story every time. Same old story. Same old story. It's very boring now!

Why do you do this, waste your time having a go about a company you say you don't believe in and you think will crash and burn? Just go away. Do everyone a favour and give it a rest. Spend your time doing something more valuable. Take up knitting, join a badminton club, do a crossword, go on a holiday. But stop boring the pants of everyone with your juvenile and very tedious posts. We have read them before, there is nothing new. Nothing.

Quite simple really. Get a life! I think knitting would be best for you come to think of it.

SmoggyG - I’d seen your appalling previous advice based on blatant ignorance so your recommendation is like a red or black casino tip, although looking at your latest disaster MRS it’s more likely to end up on zero - what are you like 12bn!

Thanks John and TG, much appreciated, I was checking and saw the same but as there was contradicting news wasn't 100% sure as they had previously stated earlier in the day that there would be not agreement today as they had fallen out and would not isolate Iran from the cut...

Thanks again :)

tlm, I sat watching Bloomberg news on TV from 12.00 with my laptop showing the live crude oil graph. Once the agreement had been made, it was shown as breaking news and the price of oil shot up 5% but I did notice that there was still confusion afterwards whether the deal had been agreed or not.

SmoggyG - I've noted the market capital of £27.25m for a loser of £4m per annum - I'm speculating people investing in CERP do more research than you and are more forward thinking than you - can appreciate the high growth potential and are comfortable being here at these prices - no one obliging you to join in although even you seem to appreciate the business case for drilling SWP.

The reduction in WTI is not a problem for CERP as at WTI $50 CERP need more than 40% rise before they achieve an increase in net yield assuming the full rate of SPT ( in practice they will have expenses to offset) - thought you knew these things 12bn!

SmoggyG - unlike you I'm not overly bothered about short term movement- the fundamentals are moving in the right direction here - that you don't keep up with research so don't see it is not my problem - others seem to like the plan as well and are not obsessed with ' All Our Yesterdays ' !

As Nexus says there are varying reports.
On the share price it's good to see the MM's are skimming off the top and not off the bottom so at least the bid is still up even after those sells.

We lost our rise due to 1.1 million of sells going through. They were ordinary trades which to me means retail trades not an institution.
