independent-20/06/07 - market report

dyor

Sharia-compliant trade finance group CCH International was the fourth-best performing stock on AIM last year. Shares soared from just 5p a year ago and hit 90p in early trade yesterday on the back of a stunning set of full year numbers. Although there is very little broker coverage of the stock, that is bound to change since the company reported a 465 per cent jump in pre-tax profits to £3.9m. Perhaps not surprisingly some profit taking hit the stock late in the session, and by the close the stock was trading at 76.5p, just a penny better on the session but still an astonishing 1,430 per cent better in the past 12 months

today has shown the limits of holding CCH to trade.

Personally I am content to hold for another year confident of seeing profits double again. In the meantime we have to see that the AGM is used to create an active forum rather than a five minute nod through of all resolutions.

I shall try to sell the Nil bros on the notion of having their cake and eating it. Were they to sell 37% of the shares to create a technical minority at 49%, they would see the share price rise whilst keeping the proceeds of sale.

Proud to hace sold 250,000 is laughable. That is less than o.3%

But had they dumped 35% on the market or even 5% the price would have tanked.

Moor,

Take some profit but I would still hold some.
Usual games, seen this too many times.

trouble is if you can only sell 500 at a time how do you get out?? 2 online accs would not sell 1000 shares today so it's given me a bit to think about. I was planning to hold for another year for taper relief but now...

Good mention on uk.biz.yahoo.

Director a bit topsy on issue of liquidity, how can liquidity improve if they acquire?

Will they issue more shares for an acquisition blaze, seems the only plausible way as the Nils don't seem likely to let go.

the company is a great success in everything except loking after the shareholders! I think we need to start a pressure group.

Yeah I don't like shares that are that hard to buy and sell. Makes me nervous.

Moormoney - I've been doing exactly the same...and agree with you.

I wouldn't be surprised!

Basically, the MMs can't do business if there is no free float in existence!

If we all sit on our shares, there won't be any to buy!

Nil needs to sort this quickly.

I've been trying dummy trades on selftrade and hoodless--very odd goings on with these at the moment. can't buy 1000 and also can't sell 1000 the dealer offered me 78p which I refused. Is there a shut down in trading anyone know? I'm not wanting to sell but like to know I can!!

The spread is ridiculous to sell on Igindex - I am losing 5pts on an 80p share !

My buy of 5839 shares at 8.29 hasn't shown up on either AIM or PLUS trade pages yet. So there may be many more buys (or sells) still to show.

I think that is what you (and I) are looking for!

yeah, true philjeans. In fact, I probably got 10k of those ones (at 10% above mid).
We need more shares.
People ain't going to consistently pay silly amounts for small numbers of shares.
Apart from anything else, it discourages people who might think of selling at a good price if they know they'll have a problem getting any if they wish to get back in again in the future. Double whammy.

Great results and well done to holders leading up to results (always a nervewracking time). I thought we might have heard something regarding first six months trading given that it's nearly over - so still have that to look forward to. Tried to add another 1,000 first thing but no joy.

haha, what a laugh! 225,000 extra shares are surely not going to make much difference to liquidity are they?
something like a quarter of one percent of outstanding share capital. Might make a difference to 25 people or so!
