Yes, though safeguarding internal energy security should be a pretty convincing reason to waive through red tape for CZA.

They are rationing electricity supply and having regular outages so you'd think coal would be top of their list....

Do you think the present drought conditions in South Africa will affect the
issue of the WUL.

Hi digger, you forgot to mention CMR, I felt sure you were with us in that disaster as well. I have only just recovered from my £250,000 disaster with CMR, 7 years of empty pockets !!!

Wish I had that sort of money at my disposal jotoha. Sadly the crooks at EEL,MDX,SGO and VVM fleeced me for well in excess of £70k leaving me with a few buttons to twiddle when I can. They all need lining up against a wall.

You could park a lorry in that spread of 2.51 bid 4p offer. Never been able to work out how they arrive at such.

I'm glad to have given you great pleasure boodgewoodge.

I am well aware of the situation as have been in here since 2007 and obviously follow closely. I know DB has said the sale of Mooiplaats should happen this year, and everything he has said has eventually happened - eventually being the operative word. So two months to go for the sale to go through and the water license to be issued - let's hope it happens. S.A. government not renown for keeping to time schedules.

with great pleasure i must disagree . Mooiplaats and the water license are well overdue and need to be put to rest this year . At EVERY meeting , 2015 has been stressed for the time limit , and now November 2015 for the court to rule in CoAL's favour as well .

Vele - Was hoping to see we had progressed further with Vele in order to increase the S.P. rather than just support it, but it looks as though the Company are in no great rush to start production at Vele whilst coal prices are as low as what they are.

Makhado – still plodding along with a few years to go

Would have liked to see the value of my shares here increase, but although we might hear Mooiplaats has been disposed of in the next couple of months (this saga dragging on a bit now) it looks like 2016 before we may see any real improvement in the S.P.

Think market makers got buried on recent move higher so decided not playing hence wide spread, especially as due plenty of company specific news (IWUL/Mooiplaats/Makhado) in remainder of 2015, plus additional news come out recently:China's Hebei Iron and Steel Group is planning to build a 5-million tonne per year steel plant in South Africa in 2017; India in talks to buy coking coal mines in South Africa; Yishun's investment in Makhado, potentially $400m in debt and equity.Ignore the noise and focus on bigger picture.

I done a small 12500 BUY here late today (16-24pm) @ 3.012p just to round off my holding and it's not showing on todays trades. I have experienced my "BUYS" not showing several times now via Hargreaves Lansdown. Funny that every time I SELL, then that ALWAYS shows !!!!!!

Anyone else experienced the same ??
