don't you just love these commentators - bloomberg reporting BGY 'soaring ahead' as its up by 4%
CBG up more than than that % wise Friday - but no mention of it!

no exposure to SIVs CDOs etc....turbulence = more money brokering........more buyouts of under-valued companies...which they will advise.It can only get better!

thats interesting Rich, explains the rise, and its unlikely to fall back apart from the usual fluctuations.

it just amazes me that more investors - who like banking shares - haven't cottoned on to the enormous potential this has to offer...

Just got this from my broker...........


LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Shares in Close Bros Group PLC. were higher early on, with Landsbanki initiating coverage as 'buy' with a 780 pence target, saying commitment to working capital harder should bring rewards, according to market sources.

At 9:23 a.m., Close Bros. shares were up 19-1/2 pence at 661-1/4, with the FTSE 250 index off 27.5 points at 10,149.7.

In a note to clients, Landsbanki pointed out that share price performance has been woeful in recent years and, with the exception of a recent fillip from bid speculation, it has even underperformed a sluggish peer group. However, the broker added that with market forecasts for Close Bros incorporating a pessimistic outlook, much is now in the share price and it believes the shares will show outperformance as the group utilises its surplus capital to better effect.



Probably reason for the fall yesterday.to allow those "in the know time to pick up some cheap stock"

yep strange to me...lot of sales and price up...dow tanking price up..I think they may have been manipulated yesterday as they tanked like they did.still very pleased today!!))
