looks like c.500p might be the bottom - hopefully ok results will see us climb a little further as well. financial disaster stories have been factored in and the assumption is stock markets have further to fall or will take years to stabilize/recover - i'm also happy to bet something else will probably happen. sit back and enjoy the dividend in the meantime.

i espect a bid maybe...but not buying back in no matter what...the markets shagged...only time will tell...as i said dow 8000...ftse 4000 within 6-8 months!

I expect the weekend press will be full of reports on financials anticipating exit from their nadirs. What the heck if the UK Government is changing its self imposed borrowing rules, why shouldn't the market change its attitude to debt.

tough times in these markets for financials.. rather than fundamentals..more sentiment, key thing is when sentiment starts to change.. unfortunately, short term is not great...

yeah i know.. i love the company...but why hold if there is this termoil?

I could buy another 1000 shares now by selling out a month ago-----but I think the trend is down and i will await developments.....anyone buying now unless for a very short term trade is foolish!

bought today c.525p - nearing 8% yield - quality name i'm happy to hold for long term. bit like invp another favourite of mine - reckon lots of value and no liklihood of any rights issue etc - that said financials have gone far lower than i thought likely - guess i'm betting that with all the rights issues going through at present this is pretty close to the low now for the banks etc - probably sink another 10% tomorrow now.

market looking bumpy.....down 7% in 2 days...banks NOT holding up at all well! Sold my entire holding today at 656p....wish i'd done it yesterday morning at 702p.DOH!!
