28/1/2002 13:06 | oh how very intelectual praline we dont have a choice, and please tell us why your huge intelligence suggests we should bail | graceyfields
28/1/2002 13:04 | QUICK - GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!!! | praline
28/1/2002 13:02 | spoke to takeover panel who said that carbo have been on the list since last june and that is not an updated list as such however they are still on it | graceyfields
28/1/2002 12:14 | soulsauce - 27 Jan'02 - 23:51 - 1428 of 1428 Probably more if that is the case. | bloakey
28/1/2002 11:58 | Gracey, Did Ken Jackson give any clue as to what part of day that RNS would be made and did he say suspension would be lifted straight away. Only I've got to go to work soon! Thanks in advance. | soulsauce
28/1/2002 11:29 | Got excited when that 'A' appeared..oh well. | bobalex2000
28/1/2002 11:09 | Surely it is not going to be about the fact they dont see any reason why the shares should rise! - wouldn't take them long to put out a statement like that would it? | eyesclosed
28/1/2002 11:04 | graceyfields If could be that they are putting a statement together, it just all depends on what's in the statement. | hyper al
28/1/2002 10:49 | The more and more I think about it I can only assume it is goodish news. When Ken Jackson said they have been working hard on putting a statement together and the guy I spoke to this morning said that we(shareholders) had caused it, it sounds to me that they have been caught off guard. Surely it is not going to be about the fact they dont see any reason why the shares should rise! | graceyfields
28/1/2002 10:20 | soulsauce The bid situation has been in existance for a long time hence the Rule 8 disclosures. | hyper al
28/1/2002 10:19 | FSA regulations (obviously) do not allow any information to be disclosed through inoffical channels, therefor they can only provide so much guidance. I am not a holder of CAB shares, but wish you all the very best this afternoon. Have been burnt severely on CTM, and certainly appreciate your anxiety. | erdmanski
28/1/2002 10:18 | This is my take on things:- If it were bad news like they were going in to liquidation or a downbeat trading statement it would have been out by now. They would have had all weekend to prepare a statement as it is news that was already known if that was the case and they would have had the figures more or less to hand. The good news is more likely as if it were a bid or refinancing from the bank there would in all probability be a lot of loose ends to tie up this morning, hence the delay. A few T's to cross etc.. Why would Stock Exchange seek clarification of the price rise, unless they had heard the same rumours. Do they always ask a company why they think their shares have risen? Any thoughts. | soulsauce
28/1/2002 10:16 | Gracey ,thanks for all the work that you have put in calling the stock exchange and the company ,I have also called the stock exchange on friday when the suspension was announced .I dont think it will do any good if everyone calls the company regarding the current situation as they have there own jobs to do and persistent calls asking the same questions will not help . once again thankyou mms 98 | mms98
28/1/2002 10:09 | If you look at Carbo on the RNS site it does say 'security suspended' & 'bid situation'? Any ideas or does it always say this for suspended shares. | soulsauce
28/1/2002 10:00 | soulsauce - 28 Jan'02 - 09:56 - 1457 of 1458 I bought in at 16 p on that one and I believe it has much further to go. | bloakey
28/1/2002 09:59 | frenchboy24 - 28 Jan'02 - 09:35 - 1453 of 1456 I actually hold these shares and I am positive about things, I believe an announcement regarding an injection of cash (from bank or wherever), that they are in talks regarding a sale or some other news of a positive nature. I think we will do OK. | bloakey
28/1/2002 09:59 | I just wish some other people would try and find something out or ring the guy and give us their opinion. I do think however that there is something a miss here coz if it were just rumours or speculation then why couldnt ken jackson just say something like danka did when their price was rising what do you reckon oh serious holders? | graceyfields
28/1/2002 09:56 | Gracey, Thanks for that, sounds quite good to me. Edmanski, As for DNK, it is one to keep an eye on after it has levelled back off. | soulsauce
28/1/2002 09:51 | Get into Danka instead, US momentum is gathering, and many sector analyst are talking about a $4-6 target (mid-term). All in my opinion, but the recent drop was overdone and results are out this week. | erdmanski
28/1/2002 09:48 | Just had another conversation with cab this time with the main man Mr Jackson(lovely chap) He said you have to follow the trail of events! He cant comment on nothing he said but he was asked at 3.40pm by the stock exchange about the share price movement and asked if they ready to make an announcement and he told them he could not prepare one in time so they asked him to suspend. He went on to say he will definately have the announcement out today and cant comment on which way the shareprice will go! I asked if business was ok he said germany is very strong but the uk is still hard work! He then said they had been working with banks over the last few weeks! He just wouldnt commit anything and when I said was the report in the independent a rumour he samid again I cant comment. Throughout the conversation he was very bubbly cheerful and seemed quite positive or is that me and wishful thinking oh my god!!! | graceyfields
28/1/2002 09:42 | Gracey, Dropped a right gooley. Had a stop loss of 5.5p set over the weekend which I tried to alter this morning. On-line broker will not let me do this now as shares are suspended so have stuffed it completely and have now lost original stop loss. Not so bad if I could sit here all day and monitor screen. However, I have dog to walk and to go to work at 13:45. Sh*te & double sh*te. Let's hope it is good for all. | soulsauce
28/1/2002 09:35 | Hi Bloakey, the thing is here though is that if CAB had been suspended for the reason you have suggested then it only takes an hour in which to tell this to the LSE and issue an RNS, the RNS can be issued very late after the close of trade, i.e BA ( British Airways ) released an RNS at 19.00hrs on Friday. I think that in the case of CAB there is something far more than mere speculation and rumour. I like you have no interest either way as I do not hold any shares in CAB. I am merely an interested onlooker. Regards F.B. | frenchboy24
28/1/2002 09:34 | This baby has a long way to fall unless there's some strong indications of a bit from Mr. Gyllenhammer. | erdmanski
28/1/2002 09:33 | kill the rumours, kill the price. You can only ramp a share up so much, then the misery sets in. | max power
28/1/2002 09:32 | 4.25 - 4.75 LOL | will02p |
