As they decided to write off 20% of Ghana after 16 years or so....?
Why 20% ?

Its either going to happen or its not - history tells us its not - why not write off all of it then ?

"During 2018 the Group resolved the outstanding issues with the Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC) regarding a contract for the development of the Tano 2A Block. The Group has signed a Petroleum Agreement in relation to the block and this agreement awaits ratification by the Ghanian government.

As ratification has not yet been achieved in the current year the directors, as a matter of prudence, opted to write down 20% of the carrying value of the Tano 2A Block historic expenditure. Accordingly, an impairment charge of £173,609 was recorded in the current year."

As a matter of prudence ! LOL
Note "resolved 2018" its now 2024 !

I wonder what their definition of resolved is ?

So don't you love this bit , say one thing whilst preciding over the opposite having happened...

So from the RNS
"Our preference, where possible, is to avoid dilution"

Lets look at how they stuck to that preference then ...

Ord Shares number at 1 January 2022....................... 870,826,117
Ord Shares number at 31 December 2023 ...............5,193,326,117

Thats just an increase of 4,322,500,000

or 496 % in 2 years , certainly Not letting their preference get in the way of dilution...

But it does not stop there

Share options at beginning of the year 40,500,000
At the end of the year 500,500,000

So just 11.35 x as many , an increase of 1135 % clearly sticking to the ....er no they intend to massively dilute
the shareholdings....

well done to all those that bought last week on the drop. It was a risk but many of them will make 100% with ease now.
I missed out, i was going to buy 10k pounds worth on Friday but my other share trade didn't go through on time and missed buying by 5seconds. 4.31pm

sHARE PRICE ON 15 MAY 2024 was 0.0500 with intradayhigh of 0.064

then last week dropped from 0.0355 to 0.0160

shocking to say the least. Now it will go back to 0.03p minimum today/Tomarrow

"Following official clarification, Clontarf now joins 5 other companies in stream 3 of Phase 4, including Russian State-backed groups, as well as Argentine, South Korean, and Bolivian companies.



The 7 companies in stream 4, are generally still at the laboratory stage of DLE development.

In stream 1 are 3 Chinese companies and an Italian entity, with State-backing or strong balance sheets.

The 4 companies in stream 2 include French, Chilean, South Korean, and Australian companies with plant operating experience.



We therefore anticipate early negotiation for the collection of bulk samples, to be followed by site-visits to pilot-plants, as originally planned."
