RM -I'm not much of a chartist but it's dropped way through the Kelner Bands which is a bad thing, right...? Touched 370 today but crawled back a bit since. I checked last year's results dates, announced end July for the YE 30th June, presumably we won't hear much of note until then.

Bought in at 375 last autumn, watched it go all the way up to £7 and then back again. So much for buy and hold. Only the interims during this period, stating that it was trading in line - by no means a bad statement but which started the drop. Guess it showed how overvalued it was at those levels. Still holding and will buy more if the trend changes following any further news. Or if it hits 3 quid, whichever comes first!

Not until later next month when we should get a pre close trading update ahead of full year figures. Last year this was 25/07. Fortunate to have offloaded most of my holdings at much higher levels but back in today for a small top up.

Currently bouncing along at bottom end of downward channel so hopefully not much further to fall. Will add significantly if they can convincingly break through 400p.

This one's in freefall right now - nothing but monthly losses since January, down down from 460 to 380 in June (17%!) to date, and 3,5% today alone!!! What's going on? I'm nursing heavy losses but am very tempted to top up now. However! I don't want to be catching a falling knife. Any reason the downward trend should be accelerating, when is the next scheduled RNS?

On google finance, this stock seems to start each day with an order volume of 66 shares at way above mid price. weird huh?

If it doesn't bounce here, could fall to circa 360 (imo)

Continuing the slide downwards! How much further before we bounce?

Nice resistance point here. If it bounces, maybe time to get back in.

Yes. I've run out of excuses as to why. Oh no I remember one now from above - CLIN is growing into its rating

Positive writeup in Shares magazine (via HL)

hxxp://www.hl.co.uk/shares/share-sector-reports?a=8220585

"Clinigen's business includes buying end-of-sales-life products as well as supporting clinical trials. The group remains acquisitive and is looking to add new products to its portfolio and has a pipeline of new programs in the wings of its Global Access Programme to complement the more than 30 projects it is currently working on. These, along with Italian outfit Abiogen Pharma's deal to supply Nerixia throughout the European Union to treat brittle bone disorder Osteogenesis Imperfecta, are expected to see £10 million added to the £14.5 million taxable profit it made in the year to July 2013."

At £24.5m taxable profit for y/e July 2014, as a proxy for EPS growth, that would be 69% - that is excellent.

Thanks Kenmitch.

Yes I definitely agree on the small company selloffs impacting though CLIN appeared to be particularly hard hit despite being in healthcare (which I thought might have had some protection rather than additional pain if it was say biotech).

Looks like the US is staging a bit of a rally including its small caps which is encouraging, and the new S&P high probably added a fair bit to sentiment.

Forward P/E for ClIN seems to be around 15.7, and looking at the previous Edison report which quoted 17.7 for 2015 for peer companies, 500p seems quite reasonable even ignoring the advantageous PEG ratios (which perhaps underpinned the previous 500-600p+ valuations).

Thoughts welcome!

Apologies Hutch-Pod, but have only just seen your post.

I can't answer that question as a key factor is whether the smaller company sell off continues, in which case Clinigen could well join in those falls, or whether the worst is behind us.

SCSW summed it up well when saying that "Clinigen is growing in to its rating."

Until there is disappointing news, Clinigen looks an excellent lockaway share. If newsflow over the next year or so is anything like as good as since they listed, then the current rating will have looked cheap, and if the price falls further it would be hard then (again assuming positive newsflow) to resist the temptation to top up.

Maybe others disagree?

I'm surprised this has come down so much. I thought I'd missed out but can now buy in at what I consider very reasonable level for a company with such impressive growth

Hi Kenmitch, may I ask what you would define as cheap for Clin? Its PE and PEG ratios have of course become much more reasonable/attractive.

Cheers

Yes, the share price got ahead of itself, along with a lot of others that have also corrected heavily. Even now the share is not cheap but Clinigen have achieved a lot in the short time they've been quoted, and as long as that continues and profits increase then in time the share could go a lot higher. Short term though best not to expect it to bump along around where it is now, or perhaps go a bit lower. If it goes a lot lower, unless bad news is the reason, that could be the chance to add.

Yes.. Know what you mean. Hope the US stabilises, not the best day today over there but hopefully not April all over again. Not sure I can face another dip, esp as CLIN never even bounced from the last one for no reason I can think up.

Think the sell off is getting a bit OTT now (465 at present). Anything below about 430 & an oversold RSI & I'll be getting my wallet out again.

Indeed - same for me at 525.

I keep resetting my top-up level, and previous 'must-buy' points become 'wait-and-see'. The PEs keep getting better though and much more in line with the industry despite the old premium it commanded easily.

I thought buying in at 520 was a good trade. Not topping up until this thing stabilizes. But watching closely and not selling into this. Situations like this are where money is made.
