It is well beyond poor, it is utterly incompetent. The price was 50p at the end of September and less than two months later we've given away a massive chunk of the equity at less than half that. It bring into question their ability to run a PLC, because we will feel the pain from this for years.
Once the warrants and shares are hitting the market this will struggle to get past 40p for the foreseeable. Considering cutting my losses; total loss of faith in management and that's usually the time to go. |
Oink oink. |
Poor from the management |
So they can hand 25% of the company over to corporates and management at a rock bottom price, in fact they can have as much as they want to subscribe for, but existing shareholders have to wait for GM approval before they can have any and then they will be limited to 2% of their existing holding. Why can't the open offer be for another 25% of the company, to shareholders on the register at cob last night, that way we/CTL get close to the £15m they said they wanted? |
can't wait for the next investor interview :) |
Company made an error. They have been flagging and planning the ASX listing for a long time. market has turned in the mean time. Lithium prices declining made it very hard to get things going down under.
They have clearly needed additional funds for some time, they have chased funding partners/strategic. In the end they have bitten the bullet and done a raise. Painful for people in higher up.
It's done now, a new floor in. They can concentrate on operational progress, the cash in the bank will make the ASX listing easier to negotiate. |
It's out of the way now , so we should move back up |
Excellent placing result - see RNS

And STILL the timelines get pushed back. Listen to Aldo last week talking of ASX listing early 2024 now it’s late Q1 or Q2. |
They were caught out by the Australian listing taking longer than they thought. They thought they would have raised money in Australia by now but the delay has forced them into this move. The shorters clearly got wind of this and hence they are having to raise money at 22p instead of the 50p this was at not many weeks ago. Bearing in mind what the company should be worth in due course this should have a happy ending, but it annoying that it has been mismanaged at the expense of existing shareholders. |
They should have raised funds way earlier. |
We are skint so let’s go tap the market and spend millions drilling more holes in the ground to prove resources. Sorry guys that ain’t what I want to hear…….. I want to hear we are spending cash to accelerate the pilot plant and expand it so we get some money coming in.
My money is safer with Jason and Quinton. |
We all knew there was a raise coming but, not at such a low price. That's a real kick in the teeth. |
I didn't know. I had bought in just days ago a little shy of 25p. I had initially thought it was the best I'd ever timed a purchase and was hoping those with a more in-depth knowledge of the company could offer some assurance that would have likely led to more in-depth research on my part and maybe a greater position. Glad they didn't! I was expecting dilution but not so soon and now regret that timing. Heyho, I'm sure all will be ok in the end. Not everyone who poses unsettling questions is out to get you. |
Unbelievable! Someone knew this was coming. I'd say that needs an investigation myself. Very disappointed in the board. |
Apologies you were right |

Interesting development....

Potential 10 bagger in only 10 months
if we go with the anaylst research😀 |
120 years ago a similar situation was happening... |
Indeed, DLE is unproven at large scale over longer timeframes. There are many engineering problems to solve to get the flow process running continuously at high efficiency. This is normal. It may take time, however. |
You are aware that Livent use evaporation ponds (on a smaller scale than normal ponds of course) to preconcentrate the brine before it goes through their DLE plant. They also use fresh water to clean the lithium from the plant.
I personally want to see this pilot plant up and running and proving the technology. Lots of potential investors I speak to say DLE (for lithium) is unproven, it’s something I hear time and again. An update in a couple of months showing a quantity and quality of lithium that the plant has actually produced could well be a major hurdle lifted for potential investors imo. |

One of the issues I find with technical questions is that they mask the basics, which is whether the economics work and we will make money as shareholders. If you need to look at production processes of eramet you are best checking on the website of the company cncerned.
Personal opinion of course but I've seen so many chat boards which get blinded and clogged by messages of people interested in processes which the average punter doesn't understand, and doesn't need to understand. |
It's a DLE system, no ponds |
