we have 8% and 4% in KAH,EXT respectively. I had been a little concerned about such a large weighting but Ric is on the ball and KAH is up 10% today following confirmation of the potentially the worlds largest U deposit which adds roughly 1% to NAV and it 'may' be about to surge.

I am watching that closely and will wade in with some more if KAH breaks out

agreed ayling i hold cyn, nce and ncyf (like the yield and convertibles). These are the only funds i hold and they meet all my requirements.

I do tend to outperform them on the market rises but they loose less on the falls!

Nice update; brief & to the point. Particularly like the comments on the palm oil price. Using the above figures they have nearly 8% of the portfolio in the UK palm producers - that is quite agressive however I have followed this company (& invested in it) for some years now & have every confidence in the management.

washbrook, will buy in nycf as well tomorrow as i have been closing out my spec positions this month and i like the convertibles in that fund plus being first in line in bankruptcy.

getting nervous now and lazy so i will let richard manage about 35% of my portflio.

I am off on a world tour so i need income so i have two choices BTL in uk or yield. The former is frankly a ball ache so bonds, divis it is. And a bunch of gold bars etc if the * hits the fan

I have compiled a portfolio to watch for the preservation of one's capital.
Inflation will be with us in one to two years.
I have the idea that in these uncertain times a portfolio that will protect yourself.
I constructed this two days ago.

Washbrook, intersting spreadsheet - thanks for sharing it with us and welcome back on-board. I have been in and out of this for a few years now though it is definitely not a traders share.

I'm sure the value in this will eventually be recognised & shine through; hope I don't get bored waiting.

i sold out a couple of weeks ago to put the money elsewhere but am tempted to get back in now for only a few pence more as the hui is rallying and this has a large gold component, getting a bit nervous about the more volatile stuff i am into (rok, tko, skr, cde, ml, s,xcl etc) as i have some huge gains and dont want to loose them! Finally, the discount is nice and wide again.
