23/9/2007 12:50 | missed the rest of friday as i went to the rugby in paris. Nice try at 176, but no cigar | jonnyboy1
21/9/2007 10:58 | come on come on...... i you can have them today and today only for 179. Tomorrow I will want more, your choice. Too late too late will be the cry when the man with the bargains passes you by | jonnyboy1
21/9/2007 10:56 | haha the mms just read that and realised oops its too cheap and marked it up again. Boys you will have to try harder to get the 50,000 you sold me on a t20 last week. | jonnyboy1
21/9/2007 10:54 | yep filled me boots at 158, this such an easy share to trade. Buy when discount to nav > 6% sell when < 4% easy peasy. Also use trustnet to see NAV in between publishes and also fo course keep an eye on the ASX stocks. Still a buy today with a discount of circa 10%. Nice | jonnyboy1
12/8/2007 10:45 | Slimmed down my holding of CNYW last week. The wts have not fallen as far as the share, but I expect they will on Monday. I think I'll hang back a while before buying back in. Looks like a nice discount to NAV building up. | shavian
28/7/2007 09:24 | Still within its ascending channel despite the drops of the past week. Hullo...anyone out there? | shavian
05/6/2007 09:29 | I have a load of these warrants. They are cheaper than the stock, infact today you can buy them exercise and sell and make a profit even without any movement in the share price | jonnyboy1
03/1/2007 14:29 | Warrant: CITY NATURAL RESOURCES HIGH YIELD IT Price: 59.75 (p) (02-Jan-07) Exercise Date: Oct-2009 Share Ratio: 1.0 (ORD) Exercise Price: 85.0 (p) Issued: 4,000,000 Tried to buy some today but couldn't deal within the large spread so waiting for a better opportunity. | tuckswood8
31/7/2006 18:36 | Can anybody tell me the expiry date on the Warrants? Thank you | nephin
22/5/2006 16:37 | CurryP Any chance of putting a chart for CYNW, and the terms, in the header. Bit of an opportunity coming up - eventually! | mart
17/5/2006 12:03 | There is an article on CYN in the current issue of Investment Trusts magazine. It doesn't really say much new but you do get to see what Mr Lockwood looks like ;) | mattybuoy
05/5/2006 18:05 | Bound to lose a few, monkey. Are you still waching GIR? It may be finding a floor, but I need to do more research. Very happy here with CYNW tucked away in my SIPP. Wts seem to be running 1:1 on the share price which is a gearing of 2:1. With NAV at 129, and an interesting portfolio, this looks a good place to be right now | shavian
06/3/2006 15:53 | Well, I got that one wrong. Congrats. to all who stayed in. I'm now back living in CYN. | monkeywrench
02/3/2006 09:26 | Yes, but IMO, GIR will do better. | monkeywrench
01/3/2006 18:25 | Wts moved up well in Jan and are now in the money. CYN itself is less exciting than ML World Mining, by the wts seem a good play on the sector....hellooo... | shavian
17/1/2006 15:20 | I like the idea of this trust. Combination of corp bonds and mining stocks. Jiggle the percentages dependent on how bullish commodities are at any given time. Seems like a relatively low risk way to participate in the commodities boom with a nice dividend thrown in. My only concern would be with researching the under-lying mining stocks, some of which might prove to be dodgy. | mattybuoy
14/9/2005 11:23 | Nice increase in NAV. Ordinaries moving strongly. Warrants looking good. | mart
03/2/2005 10:49 | CYNW Expiry 31/10/2009 (!) 1:1 85p | mart
01/2/2005 23:54 | Hectorp ..found this through mlw... question/ does CYN carry a warrant share? if so, its expiry date pls. I noticed this share also excercises a cycle of directional movement of an indicator on a longer duration, say 4-5.5 mths. Therfore, share price can become predictable by unchanging trending pattern. | ppowerscourt
28/1/2005 19:16 | maybe so - but now testing 2003-4 highs - might well break out, if not will switch to MLW. | hectorp
29/11/2004 15:24 | hectorp, this is much more of a bond fund than a commod equ play. | rambutan2
27/11/2004 19:16 | My goodness, but the performance of the trusst is astoundingly mediocre considering the rise in commodity values. As the market is so bullish, I shall be closing my position and investing directly in a couple of selected commodity plays. | hectorp
10/10/2004 19:24 | This is up 12% since I bought them last month... a good return if annualised! But there is the prospect for the same again by Xmas. Nice safe place to have your commodities cash. They do the work. Of course, hold some individual stocks to get the higher short term gains. | hectorp
05/10/2004 16:03 | NAV is up 3.5p this week... reflected partly in the recent rise. RSI is overbought - yet the market is still rising. | hectorp
03/10/2004 14:15 | Dunno - just keep buying ! I believe we'll text old highs at 76-78 in a couple of weeks. IMO H. | hectorp |
