haha the mms just read that and realised oops its too cheap and marked it up again. Boys you will have to try harder to get the 50,000 you sold me on a t20 last week.

yep filled me boots at 158, this such an easy share to trade. Buy when discount to nav > 6% sell when < 4%

easy peasy. Also use trustnet to see NAV in between publishes and also fo course keep an eye on the ASX stocks.

Still a buy today with a discount of circa 10%. Nice

Slimmed down my holding of CNYW last week. The wts have not fallen as far as the share, but I expect they will on Monday. I think I'll hang back a while before buying back in. Looks like a nice discount to NAV building up.

I have a load of these warrants. They are cheaper than the stock, infact today you can buy them exercise and sell and make a profit even without any movement in the share price

Any chance of putting a chart for CYNW, and the terms, in the header. Bit of an opportunity coming up - eventually!

There is an article on CYN in the current issue of Investment Trusts magazine. It doesn't really say much new but you do get to see what Mr Lockwood looks like ;)

Bound to lose a few, monkey. Are you still waching GIR? It may be finding a floor, but I need to do more research. Very happy here with CYNW tucked away in my SIPP. Wts seem to be running 1:1 on the share price which is a gearing of 2:1. With NAV at 129, and an interesting portfolio, this looks a good place to be right now

Congrats. to all who stayed in.
I'm now back living in CYN.

Yes, but IMO, GIR will do better.

Wts moved up well in Jan and are now in the money. CYN itself is less exciting than ML World Mining, by the wts seem a good play on the sector....hellooo....anyone listening...??

I like the idea of this trust. Combination of corp bonds and mining stocks. Jiggle the percentages dependent on how bullish commodities are at any given time.

Seems like a relatively low risk way to participate in the commodities boom with a nice dividend thrown in.

My only concern would be with researching the under-lying mining stocks, some of which might prove to be dodgy.

..found this through mlw...

question/ does CYN carry a warrant share? if so, its expiry date pls.

I noticed this share also excercises a cycle of directional movement of an indicator on a longer duration, say 4-5.5 mths. Therfore, share price can become predictable by unchanging trending pattern.

maybe so - but now testing 2003-4 highs - might well break out, if not will switch to MLW.

hectorp, this is much more of a bond fund than a commod equ play.

My goodness, but the performance of the trusst is astoundingly mediocre considering the rise in commodity values. As the market is so bullish, I shall be closing my position and investing directly in a couple of selected commodity plays.

This is up 12% since I bought them last month... a good return if annualised!
But there is the prospect for the same again by Xmas. Nice safe place to have your commodities cash. They do the work.
Of course, hold some individual stocks to get the higher short term gains.

NAV is up 3.5p this week... reflected partly in the recent rise.
RSI is overbought -
yet the market is still rising.

Dunno - just keep buying !
I believe we'll text old highs at 76-78 in a couple of weeks.
IMO
