well the heavy weight holders aren't selling and this will recover. All you got to do is decide when to buy. Is there a bit of blood on the floor?

I'm not sure all these technicals are relevant given the circumstances

Not really mostro, that's three gaps down and a good reversal signal and looks like another retest of the weekly 50 ma.

I don't think anyone is deluding themselves.

Just trying to work out if there is a real problem here or if it is small fry panicking.

Well done on your trade.

Just seems ironic this is the only stock on my watchlist or among my holdings that has been obviously impacted by the coronavirus outbreak.

Other than idle speculation based on a read across from other companies with disrupted supply chains (e.g. Apple), it is not clear to me why the virus should have a negative impact here. I guess we might speculate that the sales teams are in lockdown, but does anyone have any actual info on that or anything else that might cause trouble?

Unless they have a direct respiratory treatment for Coronavirus it's largely irrelevant

Can anyone explain to me why someone might be put off buying Circassia products by a virus that induces respiratory failure?

zho........depends on testing though.........nobody knows how many people have had Corvid-19 and recovered and were never tested for it.

Pro - I've looked a bit further into this - WHO say that flu kills 250,000 to 500,000 annually.

They reckon that between 3% and 11% catch the flu every year. So the morbidity rates I gave appear to be accurate i.e. coronavirus kills 2% (or more) of those that contract it, compared to roughly 0.1% from flu.

zho...thats USA alone.

Worldwide seasonal flu kills around 650K per year..........

From the CDC site itself

"According to new estimates published today, between 291,000 and 646,000 people worldwide die from seasonal influenza-related respiratory illnesses each year, higher than a previous estimate of 250,000 to 500,000 and based on a robust, multinational survey."

>>Flu kills 650,000 people EVERY year........>>

Is that right? On the basis of a quick Google:

"According to the CDC, flu-related deaths between the years of 1976 and 2007 ranged from 3,000 to 49,000. From 2010 to 2016, the flu-related death rate was between 12,000 and 56,000, with the highest season being 2012 to 2013 and the lowest being 2011 to 2012."

And there has been around 100,000 deaths of normal flu in the same time 2764 have died of Corvid-19...........

Media nonsense and people making money from a scare again..........just like SARS, like Bird Flu and like all the other scares.

2,764 deaths due to corona since December 1st

As a comparison Spanish Flu of 1918 had killed an estimated 200,000 after 3 months

zho - nobody knows because unless you get tested you dont know what kind of flu you have.

There are so many varients - most people just get a fever and recover and unless they were tested then nobody knows which one they had.

Pro - the death rate from coronavirus is more than an order of magnitude greater than the death rate from flu.
