A quick search for SKP on ADVFN shows it was trading at ~ 425p when it was taken over.

And googling gives:
" Under the terms of the deal, Skyepharma shareholders will be entitled to 2.7977 new Vectura shares for every Skyepharma share. Based on the closing price of Vectura shares on Tuesday, the offer represents a value of 410.15p per Skyepharma share, or £441.3 million in aggregate. This represents a 13.6 per cent premium to the average Skepharma share price over the past 90 days and a 4.2 per cent premium over Tuesday’s closing price."

I'm pretty sure SKP never went over £2 if it did would like to know when as I was in and out from about year 2000

Was all so in SKP and after a long run made a v good profit sold half rest in VEC re takeover .

Linton, I was well versed with Skyepharma and their product Flutiform which I did very well from. I had it from just over 100p to over 300p.

Lots of Profit warnings have less of a fall.

Added late on, I like to be contrarian.
Isn't it nice when those who had the foresight to have sold tell you later when it suits, maybe just in case it went the other way and they got it wrong.

Down 25% in 3 day's that's some drop MM at work but someone still wants out big time and quick, now I wonder who that is.

Closed my spreadbets earlier at 27.5 last week and then at 26.2 this morning. Still got some shares though, it's the management and products that will make this a winner but it's no longer a momentum trade.

Attracted too many traders who are banking profit or being hit by stop loss, plus perhaps more II redemptions kicking in. See the RSI 14 at 46 so most of the heat gone out of it. Hopefully, upward trend will continue and 50p sometime later on in the year.

Seen it hundreds of times, expect an holding rns once the deal is done. There's been a overhang for a few weeks now, looks like its about done.

Looks to me as the price worked up for someone to sell off !how they do it i don't know but have seen this happen many times.
