24/10/2015 10:23 | You never know SS you may be correct. However CINE are not just about the major USA releases and some of their European venues do well from non-US features. I would think CINE will do well up to the Star Wars release at a minimum. We shall have to see what develops after that! Would like to hold this long term but said that about HWDN and watched a good deal of profits fall away at the end of my holding period. Probably sold too early so if you want to buy there you will no doubt do well now! | lauders
24/10/2015 10:16 | give it a rest i am making valid point. press filter if you don't like. take a closer look after the UK box office numbers are clocked Skyfall did well because coincided with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympicsso i predict spectre will not do as well Theres also lots of other films and people haven't got money or time to go watch them all If Spectre takes less than Skyfall on the first day then CINE may get tonked Travel, dint arrive, etc | spatula spatula

24/10/2015 00:45 | Well I took the opportunity of the drop (thanks Numis ;-]) to switch out of HWDN and top-up in CINE. I also believe that CINE will benefit over the end of the year releases and note that yesterday they were also experiencing heavy traffic on their website. Accidentally I accessed their ticket purchasing site when searching for their corporate site and was faced with the message about "overwhelming demand/volume of traffic"! Got to be good in some ways although they have to look at their website for the future to cope with such high volume demand IMO. AS for releases: Yes there are the ones highlighted above in the immediate future, but there are also a lot of other blockbusters to come in 2016 according to CINE's presentation here Please look at pages 20 and 21 where you will see the following mentioned: X-Men Apocalypse Kung Fu Panda 3 Civil War (Captain America) The Angry Birds Movie Ghostbusters III Batman and Superman: Dawn of Justice Star Wars Rogue One Independence Day 2 Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them The Secret Life of Pets ( ) Zootopia Finding Dory (Pixar) Warcraft Alice Through the Looking Glass Ben Hur London has Fallen Ice Age Star Trek 3 Bill Lynn's Long Halftime Walk Gods of Egypt The Hateful Eight Moana The BFG A search of the www shows this trailer for the anticipated top 10 blockbusters of 2016 - Some others not mentioned above are shown here too: Like the pets one with the trail linked to above. Some bits are worth a look. Will bring a few laughs I think :-) | lauders

23/10/2015 16:09 | Call me a sceptic but don't you find Numis note coming out today, the last trading day before Spectre goes on release a bit of a coincidence? Seting up to load their clients into the stock on the cheap as the Box Office smash creates loads of sizzle? CR | cockneyrebel

23/10/2015 13:52 | British Land signs deal with Cineworld Fri, 23 October 2015 (ShareCast News) - Speke Unit Trust, the specialist retail park fund advised by British Land and managed by Schroders, has exchanged contracts with Cineworld for an 11-screen cinema at Mersey Shopping Park in Speke, Liverpool. British Land said the letting to Cineworld follows the receipt of planning permission from Liverpool City Council in July 2015 for a new leisure extension and wider upgrade works at the park. The works are scheduled to commence in early 2016. Kevin Frost, property director at Cineworld, said: "We have partnered with British Land across a number of their assets and we are delighted to be opening a brand new cinema at Speke with our state-of-the-art Superscreen projection and sound technology. "New Mersey is a fantastic shopping and leisure destination and we are excited to be part of the new leisure extension which will undoubtedly enhance the appeal of the park." | market sniper1
23/10/2015 11:09 | Numis hasn't changed its target, just a slight step down from Add to Hold Breakout2. Snippet: "Yesterday's site visit highlighted many of the strong attributes of Cineworld's operations in Eastern Europe, where margins, returns and growth prospects are higher than in the UK. We expect expansion to dominate the news-flow in 2016E" Can't post it all as it breaches copyright to do so. Suffice to say I've read it and I've added on the noise today. Part of the dip was on the nonsense on Watchdog last night re Odeon charging an extra £1 to see Star Wars and Spectre. | cockneyrebel |
