Just bought. Here's why. In addition to the above. FDA meeting on Thurs to decide whether to approve Pfizer vaccine, can't see them not doing so after UK decision. Following week, they meet to decide on moderna vaccine. That's nearly 300,000,000 doses of vaccine, half of which will be available by mid to late Jan so that's quarter of US population vaccinated by end Jan. Always do your own thinking.

No not nervous at all the shorters are reducing, it is just
NH in my opinion working for the bidder to be.

I am sooooooooo in profit.

A 166% increase, small, what a carrot, pal.

Really.

When it goes bust it’ll look like a bad investment to me pal. And let’s face it you are soooooooooo nervous. Even with a small profit. 😥

That's OK then, let's let one company monopolise.Aren't WB bigger than Disney?

SRP, it’s not our fault that you placed a poor investment. Accept it and stop complaining.

Here he is the non holding doomer.

They will work both the rich with cinema rooms and
the others that want to go to the cinema and live
a normal life.

There's only really the big studios left - Disney alone is about 70 percent of the box office

Issue is if they all have their own streaming services the regular cinema goer is unlikely to pay for all of them. So some studios could fail

Sensible post, I feel this will give the cinema chains a
reason to get the cinemas open sooner and get the backlog
of films moving. Get the cinemas open for people who have had vaccine
or a negative test.

We shall see.

The WB move has been all over the press/news this weekend. The bad bit being them saying "other studios may follow"...

Will be interesting today. I'm currently running a 15% paper profit so if it climbs then great :-) If it falls I am placing a STOP for protection at 60.

I still think this will be a recovery play but short term over the next few weeks I have no idea which way it will go now after the WB betrayal...

Was watching YouTube showing forthcoming content trailers : a lot more movies ready for distn in '21 than I had previously anticipated. And action movies look and sound infinitely better in a theatre than on any large screen in the home unless you're lucky enough to have a bespoke cinema room at home (very few).
Wish I'd taken the risk at 30p. Still long on these. Always do your own thinking.

Amazon might want the US cinemas again.

If cine up Monday, you are not here on blue days
and if down do not bother with your continued
negative talk by a non shareholder.

If you are not a shareholder I would expect a more balanced
view.

Why would Netflix want Cineworld. Aside from the common denominator of movies the businesses are completely different operationally, Cineworld as a business would be essentially alien to Netflix and carry cost burdens I suspect they would not even entertain. The Netflix share price would brutally tank imho.

Let's see if the other studios follow suit?If they do, I suspect Cineworld will have even more problems even after the pandemic recedes. The risks are growing not reducing.

Moffett notes that Walt Disney Co. DIS, +0.61% is expected to change up its own windowing approach when it holds an investor day next week.

He has a sell rating and $24 price target on AT&T’s stock.

Read: Disney shakes up streaming approach after losing nearly $5 billion due to pandemic

Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter wrote that AT&T’s approach “probably won’t play out as advertised” given expected pushback from theater exhibitors.

“We think the exhibitors will aggressively negotiate for far fewer films to be released day-and-date on HBO Max, based on the timing of vaccine distribution instead of the full calendar year,” he wrote. Ultimately, he expects the parties to reach an agreement similar to the arrangement on “dynamic windows” that Universal made with theater operators like Cinemark Holdings Inc. CNK, +8.64% one, which create longer exclusive theater access for bigger films and a quicker move to at-home viewing for smaller ones.

I suppose some posters just enjoy coming on boards talking to
investors that have invested their hard earned money about
bankruptcy all the time.

I would have thought the lenders would have been aware of
the possible wb move, as everyone else was. Now that news
is old, the rush to get the cinemas open is on, shame you
only post here on red days mainly.
