interesting, as that might explain why roi who have been pretty much fully engaged throughout - and even requesting extra hearings, have decided to throw a wobbler. Why now?

RossannaOnce the forgery issues out of the way then its quite clear the assets were stripped.Wasn't 1.3 billion dollars figure valuation come from third party calculations?

What's really interesting about the Crystallex case is some of the news coverage. Eg see

hxxp://business.financialpost.com/news/mining/venezuela-ordered-to-pay-crystallex-us1-386-billion-in-arbitration-ruling

Crystallex went bust before winning because of their financial position, but their creditors will get it. CHL don't have that problem - they are funded to the end and have options if they require them.

And if you read down the article it just goes to show that ICSID awards are enforceable. Even if there are problems and it takes some time it ends up in cash being paid to the successful party.

Personally I doubt ROI will take it that far - they are going to have to come to terms with the inevitable at some point.

Looks like a few shorters around here are going to burn badly once CHL have progress....

eo,

Not all disputes are the same, so time comparisons aren't really possible.

Let's see if Venezuela pays up!

pat,

Exactly, this stock trades in a range, once the bottom is reached the ramping will start again.

I think if it reaches 15p or lower buyers will emerge, this will go on for ages, util the verification/forgery announcement.
