28/4/2016 14:59 | Billy said earlier he was not holding from what I understood Churchill Mining - CHL sportbilly1976 - 28 Apr 2016 - 14:17:18 - 24420 of 24422 neo, no stop here, covered down to 1p | bad robot
28/4/2016 14:44 | why you delete your post? no stop here, did u not write... | neo26
28/4/2016 14:11 | i wont sb this company, the mm's know exactly where all you stops are. Its really unfair... | neo26
28/4/2016 14:01 | Agreed Andy but sometimes better to have a mental stop or broker sells at next best bid especially in sets stks | patviera
28/4/2016 13:47 | i think the licence confirmation are just a formality, just have to look at the facts.. | neo26
28/4/2016 13:47 | Pat, They can run it down and back up again in a flash like the example I gave. There was never any explanation nor investigation for the PDX fall. People lost huge amounts of money on that one! Yet the stock was back at the starting point very quickly. The point is even a hint of bad news and they can run it down on a whim. I always make a call where I can afford to pay the maximum loss in cash, if the worst happens. If CHL was around 12p, my position would not carry a stop loss and I would take a position based on a total loss possibility of 12 points, and therefore could not be stopped out. At that price the risk would be in my favour, IMO. | andy
28/4/2016 13:40 | i think were near bottom, couple of pence here and their, once icsid comfirms the licenses are genuine then the game begins. Thats means there will be a payout.... current mkt cap 25m, once licenses confirmed easily 100m. dyor imho this verdict out sooooon... | neo26
28/4/2016 12:59 | AndyNo way this will be 7p pre tribunalThis becomes a better bet as this falls and as so binary there will be big buyers as the odds become weightedEg at 10p dwnside 10p upside 50p so even if 50 50 buyers would be swarming | patviera
28/4/2016 12:06 | tivoli, sportbilly, Thanks for the information re no GS at IG, interesting. That allows them to sell through your stop, in theory at 0p! Adds considerable risk to a long strategy, but until the tribunal rules it's unlikely there would be a catastrophic announcement by CHL, IMO. So a stop around 7p may be prudent, but they can always close it lower, then tell you that was the best price they could get, and then the share price bounced after you were closed out! They did that with PDX a few years ago, a sudden spike down took out all the stops and then a miraculous recovery 10 minutes later took it back up to the previous level, all on no news, and no explanation! The suspicion was that with the end of the contract the following day, the spreadbetters were seriously out of the money on PDX and engineered a temporary crash to take out the stops. 130p to 80p, then back up to 130p in around 20 minutes or so! It cost me thousands in lost profits. it just illustrates the dirty tricks that can be played by the market to the detriment of us punters, they normally win. | andy
28/4/2016 12:04 | Hard to have a stop as we approach tribunal decisionI still think it's 75 25 in our favourKeeping the faith | patviera
28/4/2016 11:04 | no GS available with IG * other brokers are available and may allow them :) | sportbilly1976
28/4/2016 10:57 | With Oxus there was no option for a gauranteed stop loss, so not sure if there is with Churchill. If they are available for CHL, then yes that is the way to go. However loads have been stopped out today at 18p. Now is the time for new money to take out longs. | tivoliworldgaming
28/4/2016 10:54 | tivoli, If the shareprice falls below 15p, then a long punt with a guaranteed stop loss may worth be a consideration? | andy
28/4/2016 10:49 | In hindsight it has been a good thing in not taking out a spread bet position here. As the temptation is to increase as the share price rises. Therefore the huge fall from 28p would of stopped me out long ago. Also if the verdict is a bad one then there will be a debt of 3 times your deposit owing to IG. | tivoliworldgaming
28/4/2016 10:19 | BR, yes to your first question and no, but it is the one I use. Other brokers are also available :) I presume one of these also permits short positions on CHL as the one I use doesn't? | sportbilly1976
28/4/2016 10:17 | Billy keeps going on about IG. Billy is IG the only Broker in this country? | bad robot
28/4/2016 10:13 | Hey Billy Are you long? I hope it's ok to ask, as you like to ask others if they are short. | bad robot
28/4/2016 10:06 | "Debbie gone v quiet" some people don't feel the need to spout off endlessly day after day saying the same thing.... | blackss
28/4/2016 09:56 | margin via IG is 25%, not excessively high for such a company | sportbilly1976
28/4/2016 09:55 | Debbie gone v quiet | patviera
28/4/2016 09:55 | Pat, Thanks. I expect margin and spread to be high, as they must be aware they could get caught, either way, by a sudden announcement. | andy |
