Tajikistan finances not in the best of health during Covid as it is very reliant on Tajiks overseas 'sending money home' but, obviously Covid impact on employment around the world has reduced that flow of monies into the country.

The RNS was good, afaiac. It confirmed that CMNIN was willing to purchase the Gold from Pakrut(at market rates)) if the Tajik government was not able/willing to do so at any time.

fgsake, a Gold mine has to have a buyer for it's Gold and here is CMNIN saying it will do just that, if required.

Not sure how folk can interpret that as a negative.

Hard to connect current events in the Ukraine with any possible impact on a gold mine in the mountains of Tajikistan but, folk will sell first and think later.

Gold price doing wonders for the business. Last time Gold was in an uptrend and around this price, CNG shares were trading hands for 12-16p.

There has been a seller here, though, for a while, patiently taking the price down. Just a waiting game for this to turn. However, when it does expect a fast rise. I'm intrigued to know whether they have achieved or are achieving a higher production this year. The wait to achieve phase 2 feels like forever. I don't suppose we will find anything out until September as news is always very scarce here at CNG. Hence, there is a lack of interest in the wider market.

If this company communicated more with its shareholders, there may be more interest and, therefore, have a positive effect on the share price.

Ps . Sitting on a paper loss presently even though my first purchases were below 5p about 3 years ago.

Whether there is or not any impact due to the Russian invasion , sentiment in this region is driving these stocks lower

Doesn't make any sense to me, we have gone from someone trying to hold the price down whilst hoovering up any loose stock to the price in free fall when the pog is going up.

Gold stocks should all be on the up not down right now.

It does not add up here. Is there some Russian money involved here we do not know about?

Bought a few the last few days. Nothing of notable size however (failing some unknown shenanigans) should see this back at 10p in short order.

hard to see how the 'Ukraine' situation can have any negative impact for this company.
Only impact I can see is a positive one from the Gold price.

Mattjos,Hmmm , yes use cash-flow to reduce debt or spend it in expansion Debt has held this back unfortunately Even at high gold prices , it has only now starting to pay it down .Shows how much the interest is a burden too - which will start to come down and help to accelerate debt reduction.Question from me is , has the Co fixed debt rates for more than a year ? This periodical renewal is not ideal with rates going up .This is why highly leveraged companies are higher risked Co needs to make a decision as gold prices are going up and really expansion is the way to go but it will come at a cost in the short term and debt reduction will decrease It comes down to cost of phase 2, do we know what this is ?

The Gold breakout continues over $1,900 & with no near-term end to the Ukrainian situation or the growing inflation problem in sight, there seems to be little reason for its upward price trajectory (or most other commodities) to end any time soon.
H1 2021 ave. realised gold sale price for the 17,288oz we sold was $1,785oz.
Looking much like H1 2022 ave. sale price is going to be rather higher.

Markets are not always logical & clearly it's currently a 'risk-off' environment but, current mkt cap of CNG is back at Apr/May 2021 lows. This seems unduly harsh to me so, I modestly added once again today as we progress ever further into this big flag off the May-Sept 2019 pole.
At just £26m mkt cap for a 40koz producer, am struggling to see much more downside.

At what point will the gold price dynamic persuade Management that it's the optimum time to bring the planned Phase II expansion into existence & really start to hugely accelerate the debt reduction?
They must surely see that Covid is now in the rear-view mirror.

SETS so easy to fix day to day in a stock like this. Get a couple of small trades in just 10 seconds before the bell, for a total of 57 shares & that's the closing reference price for the day, irrespective of the 124k bought.
Another day at over $1,900/oz for our output.
