I was hoping for a >£9 bid. I will hold for a while, because as far as I can see this stock is a sure winner from here. Supported by the bid price.
Am I alone in thinking that the offer will be announced after the market closes.?
Looks like Macquarie is leaving their announcement until the last minute.
Richard Stavely said no-one was looking at Vanquis, but here is a list of major shareholders. I think there are many eyes on this stock.

George, what do think are the chances of a second bid? My broker still thinks it's a possibility, and tells me to hold. Roll on 13th Feb.

If you look at the 8.3 notices, some holders are introducing small shorts to cover themselves in case of the bid falling through.
I notice a few large holders are taking out shorts.
