Still only valued at £2.5 million, with £20 million assetts and very low debt. Had EPS of 10p a couple of years back, since then has increased capacity to 100 million tonnes. Well positioned for a recovery in Chinese economy which has already begun according to last months update.

Theres been good buying in the last 2 weeks, icluding Friday when 1/2 million went through all buys. Mark up yesterday may indicate seller has finished, or nearly finished. This seems to have been left behind and overlooked since the market recovery since March and is vastly underpriced.

howdlep, in my experience, large trades I have done bigger than NMS are not always reported immediately..

No Plus trades. Large completed trades ought to appear straight away.

large trades dont have to be published in real time and maybe its on PLUS ? Anyway from what I have seen, mikeja is a johnny come lately trader with ramping and deramping agendas..his words, buys and sells mean nought to me.

I was starting to get concerned that feedstock prices have risen again but good to know the demand is returning and there is a level of pricing power in BII. Will be interesting to see margins in next figures. Cautiously optimistic.

Joking apart this is a good base for the share price to recover from.

Interesting that there was a 100k buy before the bell and one just after the trading update came out. A nice little turn if they were connected. Now that never happens I know!

AGM results and trading update

The board of directors of China Biodiesel International Holding Co., Ltd.(AIM : CBI) ('CBI' or 'the Company') is pleased to announce that all the resolutions proposed were duly passed at the annual general meeting of the Company ('AGM') held earlier today.

At the AGM the Chairman of the Company, Huodong Ye, made the following statement:

'The challenges faced by the Company in 2008 resulting from the international financial crisis have continued into 2009. However we are pleased to report that shipments have started to rise since March. Production at the Longyan plant has returned to the average level of 2008 and the Xiamen plant was reopened in April. Both plants focus on the production of BII, which is used as a substitute for petrochemical material and thus has a higher added value over normal biodiesel fuel. The total shipment for the first four months of 2009 was 7,601 tons, this compares to 8,010 tons shipped during the first four months of 2008.

The board has seen a recent rises in the price of feedstock which has been passed through to customers through increased selling prices. We continue to focus on maintaining margins through cost control and secured feedstock supply.

Overall, the board believes the Company is well placed for the future and remains positive on the outlook for 2009.

lonhro,

Don't follow Haike but I would have thought they had deeper pockets than the value of trades today suggests. Wrt BBHL, glad u are on board. Its easily the cheapest bad-debt free bank and palm oil producer in the markets .. just needs Ashcroft to realise value for shareholders. He will eventually and when he does, it will be spectacular I think ;)

agree with your post but worth mentioning net of cash in hand borrowings are only about 2 million.

with a NAV of gbp 18m and a net nav after netting out gbp4m of borrowings, against an mcap of gbp2m this looks decent value. think overtime the biofuels market will gain momentum with futher incentives and promotion from governments.

woracle......thanks for posting such an informative and rational take on the situation. Did follow CBI sometime back when it was 110p and the severe drop in share price reignited my interest to bottom fish. Like you it's only a small punt as I do like the "penny dreadfuls". Keep posting and informing this BB and thank- you!
