26/9/2012 21:34 | It helps that the historic mineral resource statement for berg aukas showed about $600mill of resources in the ground and that is before any resource upgrades possible through exploration work. Not too shabby for a £4mill company. | idontpost
26/9/2012 20:48 | Have been accumulating here fr a while. Market capitalisation is £4.2mill. Cash was £2.7mill at end of june but that is being applied to undertake the feasibility study at berg aukas, the namibian zinc silver lead vanadium project. Partnered with east china exploration, who will likely fund the capital cost for the berg aukas mine construction. East china do this kind of thing commonly. Bought more today. That video is great disarming. It shows the mine plan in detail and demonstrates the seriousness of their project. Looks like a mine is on the way, but we have to see what their exploration assays show for short term upside and mine life extension. Enterprise value and share price is going to look bizarrely low soon, but as the company is poor with communications the share price right now is a gift. | idontpost

08/9/2012 14:45 | funding is almost certainly going to come from the chinese. I would expect something like the KYS model, bearing in mind the high level Chinese participation. This was likely have been agreed between the principals at the outset. Significantly the exploration costs have been capitalised and feasibility is quite rightly undertaken to position the project for debt funding. Massive as it the cost may be, it is not out of context by comparison with other major projects in Africa. Given the scale of both parties, it would make no sense to either to consider equity when debt will, subject to succesful a FS, unquestionably be readily availible. | disarming
31/8/2012 03:22 | So I'm not the only one daft enough to hold here, disarming/matt as always good discussion, thanks. | dick grasso
31/8/2012 00:48 | Hardassets .. understood but, until such time as to how Berg Akaus will be funded (& the indications are that it is not going to cheap), its v tough to value this share. The presence of the Chinese might likely add gravitas to the proposal at the funding stage but, unless Webster pulls his finger out, he will likely be seen as a negative if he is still anywhere near the helm here. Operationally, he has comprehensively failed to deliver on any metric or target that he set in 2010. If he has still not delivered by the time Berg Akaus moves to the activity stage then the chinese will surely politely thank him for all his 'efforts' and appoint AN Other. Anyway, all this is way, way ahead yet .. assuming Berg Akaus is feasible & they decide to proceed then, that is likely the time they'll look to inject some sort of asset here that has a cash-flow attaching to it | mattjos
30/8/2012 04:03 | I got my AUE shares the end of the following day. I am expecting to see mine on Wednesday but HSBC are notoriously slow (IMO). | shenfen2036
30/8/2012 02:50 | Mattjos, the whole point of undertaking a feasibility (as in bankable) study is to open up options for other forms of finance such as bank debt and move away from equity finance. | hardassets57 |
