Chemring Group PLC ("Chemring" or "the Company") announces that today an award over 170,952 ordinary 1p shares in the capital of the Company previously granted on 19 January 2018 under the Chemring Group Performance Share Plan to Sarah Ellard, a director of the Company, vested in full. Further details on the basis for vesting of the award was disclosed in the Company's 2020 Annual Report.

The award which vested was satisfied by the transfer of shares for nil consideration from the Company's treasury shares holding.

Following the vesting, 125,348 ordinary 1p shares have today been sold by Mrs Ellard, of which 80,348 shares were sold to cover tax and national insurance liabilities arising on vesting. Following this transaction, Mrs Ellard retains 161,975 ordinary 1p shares in the capital of the Company.
