The bid still refuses to go to 900 - we ought to rename this share
'Charter 899'

Now ; Does anyone doubt that today has been a day
of "mugging the...mugs" -- all around?
One of the most predictable, for traders :)

The share price certainly doesn't like the figure 900 does it?

MMs don't BUY or SELL stock like an investor, for the greater part they TRADE stock and have mostly unwound their position post haste. They are quasi day traders for the most part. They are not bent upon building a position per se, only exploiting one.Consciousness of whether a stock is cheap or dear does not drive their decision making.

It's truly amazing the extent the market makers
go to, in order to buy cheap, THIS particular stock,
from stupid MUGS !

Well an increase of circa 60% so far this year is good for me, especially after the previous couple of years. I accept these haven't done much for 6 months but that's fine. They're traded much more now than they used to be. They look better value today than they did 6 months ago. The fact is we're now seeing less 'trading above of expectations' announcements and that's why the share price has slowed down imo. My end of year prediction was 800 and so have got to be happy. I'm confident that long term holders will continue to be rewarded.

We were trading ahead of expectations just a short time ago, and the markets are strong going into the xmas period.

Robbie made a short-term trade.... fine. I bought more at 868 and might also sell these for a short-term profit.

Chtr is frustrating, but so are most shares.

Robbie has his followers but the volatility is not down to that. Like a lot of us i think he realised that if we were going to break 920 we would have done it by now especially the last couple of trading days. Still a holder short and long term just hope short term Robbie has called it wrong...........

From:- Robbie Burns
I sold my short-term Charter - 1,000 shares at 894.25 on the 13th. Profit on that is £479. I hold on to the other Charter shares I have and my large spreadbet in them too.

Only reason for the sale was to raise money to buy something else and as I have a lot of Charter. Still think the shares will eventually go 1000+ but perhaps not this year!

Too exhausting and that's why i sold the greater part of my holding a few weeks back. That doesn't mean that i don't consider the stock good value. However, completely off topic,Enterprise Inns and Keller for that matter have climbed by 20% since early Nov in the time that traders have pratted around in CHTR for no rhyme or reason. It's boys with toys when it comes to poor ol' Charter but it's been a great share for us here over the years.
