QRC was halted on the TSX from December until recently. What if the pushing back of news by Chaarat was done to make sure QRC was all ready to go?

Could QRC be replacing the loan note holders or the $17m "short term loan" or even part of the Kapan loan?

I imagine these kind of discussions would be part of any discussions for Tulkubash financing as any project finance lender will want to make sure that Chaarat has the funds and working capital to pay for loans and non-project G&A to make sure they can deliver the project.

If QRC does invest in Chaarat then that alone could dramatically change the fortunes here. It would be (almost) like Sprott taking an interest.

QRC news release:

"Queen's Road Capital has raised a total of approximately $84,000,000 since completing its change of business transaction on 3 February 2020."

I am hoping that 2+2 really does equal 4! There would appear to be too many coincidences for there not to be something concrete behind the scenes.

Chaarat will be presenting here 23rd April

(This of course is dwarfed by the billionaires that Mr.A and our CEO have in their contact book: Abramovich alone is worth US$ 12.2 billion....)

The total net wealth of the three major shareholders of QRC is, according to wiki, US$4.5 billion...

Major Shareholders: Jack Cowin, Andrew Forrest, Brett Blundy.

This may be coincidence timing-wise, but QRC, Warren Gilman's resource sector financing company which is backed by several billionaires, will be ready to start handing out loans imminently.

I wouldn't rely on the "as soon as" principle. There are many cases I have seen across the market where "as soon as" equates to "when we want to".

Would be interesting to see if the analysts on the call are just the ones in their pay or if there will be others.

"Financial" can cover lots of topics.

Presumably any financial update notified a week in advance will be an "in progress" one rather than anything more firm like a signed deal (binding or otherwise) as that would need to be RNS-ed "as soon as"?

The production/operational aspects will be interesting but, let's face it, it is the financial aspects that have the most potential to shift the share price.

Looks like 3 updates in one 'FY19 Production, Operational and Financial Update on Wednesday, 19 February 2020.' I was taking 'operational' as Dusty's resource drilling results but not sure

Well they certainly don't sound like they want to hide some bad results, quite the opposite. At least we don't have to look out for an RNS each day.

I would rather have had 3 RNS's than Production, operational(exploration) and financial all rolled into one and can't see how it is justified as all price sensitive stuff should be released asap.

Presumably 'analyst conference' includes interested pi's

It is rather dramatic for a small miner. More the sort of thing you get from a FTSE100 company. It is, perhaps, indicative of the image they are trying to build.

Good to know anyway.

Drum roll please......Chaarat (AIM:CGH), the AIM-quoted gold mining Company with an operating mine in Armenia, and assets at various stages of development in the Kyrgyz Republic, will release a FY19 Production, Operational and Financial Update on Wednesday, 19 February 2020.

The more I read (thanks Casual) the more confident I get that the EBRD will be part of the soon to be announced funding. Naturally nothing is guaranteed. The Fast Running Horse could be about to get a big boost. Let’s see. 50p + on EBRD funding.

The disconnect between a valuation tethered in reality and one marooned in the mind of a PI can be rather huge.

But even for those of us who pay attention it can be quite hard. E.g. HGM has a near match in GV Gold in terms of their assets, EBITDA, annual oz production etc yet a consensus among Russian analysts appears to be that GV Gold is worth between 800-1000 million USD (they received a (now failed) bid from Fosun which was rumoured to be $1B). HGM's EV at its recent year high was valued just shy of $1.5 billion, which is a big difference. (Currently HGM is sitting around $1.2B - a 20% difference seems not unreasonable taking into account the UK listing etc)

I don't disagree that Australian assets are valued more highly but we are comparing to something that does not even have a defined resource, let alone production!
