HI diku, if you read post 14213 it explains a few things. I still like to think I am more a trader than investor, but bought 98k shares here and like a lot of us the share price just kept dropping. I still have 50k shares here which is a good holding

eeza . We all get seduced to a share sooner or later. There was many a time I got stuck with a share I grew to despise.

We are in for a choppy time . These trade wars is not going to help anyone any company or any nation (America). Shipping will suffer, costs go up for the manufacturer and for retail buyer, recession will follow. It’s inevitable. I hate this f..ing market and we still have Brexit to content with.

Hi diku, use to be able to watch the screens all day. I was a trader for about 3 years, and made a lot of money at it. I just sat at home buying and selling all day. A few years back I had 5 tranches in Glencore . They went from the 260p down and looked like they were going bust. I decided to sell ( I think it was about 75p off hand) and took a hit of about 80k. We all know the rest of the story they recovered, ( Anglo American went down to 250p) but I was not prepared to lose all of it. I decided to start work again, sorting houses out ( I use to have a painting & decorating business) . I am very fortunate financially , and this is more of an interest to me. I have always been interested in the Stock Market, being taken there when I was 12. In them days you were allowed to go in and watch, the days before it all went electronic. But I do have a busy life like a lot of us here, and sometimes have a job to fit everything in.

I noticed the Tesla share price went down whatsup, there’s some speculation Musk needs the price above $350 a share or some convertible bonds that are due soon will need to be paid in cash, above $350 & they can be swapped for shares or something along those lines,I’m no expert, interesting to see how it plays out, makes a change from the constant Brexit/Trump news flow.
