At least we were positive today, with the FT going down heavy. Just a bit of a hit when you are up 4.75p to see it fade away.

I think a lot of us don't know which company to invest in. It seem when you buy into a company today a couple of weeks down the line it looks a bad buy.

They seem to have got of lightly with Ofgem.£2.65mil in total paid out . The fine was around £1.1 mil. Probably why it went up first thing.

There seems to be no place to hide , I’m down another 1% on Tui

Hi whatsup, yes it keeps going down, mind you Lloyds bank has been the same for me. It does look a good buy at the moment, but there is a few shares that look good out there.Knowing my luck lately I would go and buy and they would drop even quicker

CITI on UK UTILITIES- Finally! We have value. After several years of exuberant pricing of UK utilities, the table has turned in the face of political, regulatory and macro risks. While we expect a turbulent ride in the months ahead given the uncertainties of Brexit and questions over the stability of the current UK government, we cannot ignore the fact that we are starting to see fundamental value. Top picks: Buy CNA (PT 160p). Imminent clarity on the price cap methodology should provide earnings visibility and recent commodity price rally should underpin the 12p/share dividend. Buy UU (PT 811p). Operational fears discounted by the shares are overdone, which leaves the shares with limited downside risk even in anationalization scenario. Buy NG (PT 961p). UK risks are now firmly in the shares and we believe exposure to improving US business should also provide hedge in case of further political turbulence.

Perhaps Porto ought to have written "when 148.4 is reached then I will be out"
Would that have made it easier for some to understand.

Ofgem: Centrica's British Gas Pays GBP2.65 Million Over Exit Fees, OverchargingSource: Dow Jones NewsBy Adria Calatayud The U.K.'s Office of Gas and Electricity Markets, or Ofgem, said Wednesday that Centrica PLC's (CNA.LN) British Gas has paid 2.65 million pounds ($3.4 million) related to invalid exit fees and overcharging.British Gas's payment comprises refunds and compensations to affected customers, as well as a GBP1.1 million payment into Ofgem's consumer redress fund, the regulator said.British Gas wrongly charged 94,211 customers its more-expensive standard variable tariff due to a system error, Ofgem said. It also wrongly informed 2.5 million customers that exit fees were chargeable, and charged exit fees to 1,698 fixed-deal customers.Ofgem opened an investigation in July 2017, it said. Before the investigation concluded, British Gas refunded in full all customers who had been overcharged by more than GBP1 and paid GBP502,633 in compensation to them, the regulator said.Following the end of the probe, the business agreed to pay further compensations worth GBP244,770.Write to Adria Calatayud at adria.calatayudvaello@dowjones.com(END) Dow Jones Newswires
