Sorry to hear that Nortic, hope you feel better soon.

Does not surprise me.

I think BG could use some advice on how to manage the media better. Its never going to be easy to communicate a price rise but they always seem to be seen as the villains much more than the competition.

On a more positive note there seems to be a move towards defensives recently hopefully this will continue and help cna.

It is amazing how these broker recommendations come out when you are already down.. they know many people are deep in the dodo with these so now just want to squeeze the shares out of them prior the divi payment.

Strange enough about 2 months ago I did a price comparison ,my contract for duel fuel had expired (withEDF). Surprisingly British Gas was in the top 5 . I went back to EDF to reduce their price but they said no. The difference in the top 20 was something silly like £100 over a period of a year.

I honestly don’t understand why so much negativity is made of the top 6 energy providers. They provide uninterrupted fuel at a reasonable price.

Thanks TimI've just come back from a funeral in Liverpool plus the wake was the biggest p&ss ever so I'm feeling both sad and hungover which isn't the best combination. I then come back to CNA and it feels like everything is cr@p but just hoping things come good in the end.

Yes Nortic , I can understand how you feel. I said earlier I would lose about 47k , it's a lot of money. In the last 10 years of trading there have been three company's that have let me down. Morrisons, there share price collapsed, and they are still not up to what I paid for them, then Glencore when it looked like they were going to go under and CNA. Yes I have made thousands in the past with them. It seems ever since this Government said about price capping it dropped. By the way Portside finally came out as an imposter. We have said for a long time now he is not real. Just read back to post 11434 earlier today taking the mick out of us.So much being in hospital, and feeling sorry for him. I don't think we will here from him again.

Was thinking the same Nortic, they maybe need to look at the way they communicate their price rises or try and time it with some positive news, they basically give themselves as much negative publicity as possible which could well lead to more customers looking at leaving as the perception is they are expensive.

Nuclear seems difficult to shift given the government will have to ok it and there is limited number of buyers. I did post the EDF Nuclear problems this afternoon.

Spirit seems like a substantial subsidiary but one we never hear about. Trading update 14th May, can’t come soon enough .

I’m hoping they will upgrade earnings due to extended winter as in SSE

I've not read anything for a couple of days so thanks for that. CNA always seem to make the first move and the the rest follow. The papers never help and make it sound so bad. I guess I'll keep these for the next dividend. I'm thinking the only thing that will get these up will be a significant disposal.

Hi Nortic ( hope you had a great break) good to get your good advice back. Yes never good when one of the brokers downgrades and lowers the price. Still think this will bounce back up with that tempting div. I don't know if you see the papers but the Daily Mail was the entire front page about us and we are ripping the public off with a 5.5% rise and telling people they should change there provider. People read this and what with the Government said gives a very negative approach to the company. Still think by the end of the week it won't be that down

JP Unfortunately people won't see it that way. They'll just concentrate on the latest downgrade.I'm feeling very despondent with these.

That was a serious downgrade to £1.20.

Yesterday FloGas sold their customers to CoOp for £40 per customer , so obviously not much profit if any from these customers. That is exactly what Mr Conn said at the AGM.
He said he did not mind loosing these customers as there were no profit and maybe even a loss. So biased as I am I can’t agree with HSBS report.

I believe in the management although there is no profit in it for me Either:)

Hi phil, until that report we still have a consensus of 1.78 which still means they (15) still think this will have a 28% upturn from current share price I believe what the board say, they are in a far better position to know there finances. I believe what they said the same dividend for the next two years. I hope your doing well with your shares :)

I think you are like the rest of us supermarky, this one never seems to go where you think it will. Sunday I thought 1.50s or even better 1.60s but after the Government and bad press I'm just not sure anymore, just have to keep our fingers crossed

Chaps if you see a post from portside do not answer him. We have said it before there's no such person, just somebody who as plenty of time on there hands to have a lot of profiles. Why anybody would want to have so many is beyond me. Every time his name comes up I will just keep putting see post 11434 to prove his is a fake person
