03/12/2020 15:15 | peteret: Agree with you ref RR ...have been in those from 69p and will hold on. BT is another flyer ..in there at 101p. Still see considerable upside in CNA ...I guess that's where we differ? Have waited until late this September and in effect bought back into my former government float stocks of the 1980s ! Made money out of those shares then . Reckon the same for 2021. Not too late to reconsider your recent sell? You might regret it come the end of this month ? | wendsworth
03/12/2020 15:04 | I sold also but at least made a pathetic £29.Glad I did I bought rolls Royce and its flying and still worth putting more on. | peteret
03/12/2020 13:15 | Aspers your such a clown. You sell at 180k loss and you keep checking in every day.Sounds like you have regrets. You pathetic clown. | cleverinvester
03/12/2020 10:48 | I don't consider daily fluctuations in price a drop or rise, just noise. The sale will not count until the money is in the bank and redeployed and the company balance is physically seen to improve. The gov regulator will back off and the divi will be eventually restored when the balance and profits recover. K | korvet

Louis Burford explains how vital battery storage will be for hitting the UK's net zero commitments, but investor confidence is low. Read more ? bit.ly/37Km1vR | ammu12
03/12/2020 10:31 | Just sold out of CNA at a huge 75% loss in the hope of recovering those losses in the depleted travel sector. Not easy turning a big paper loss into a real loss but hey ho, sometimes fortune favours the brave. Hopefully SAGA, CCL and IAG can turn it around for me. Not easy to buy a share that is already 100% up in recent weeks but I think in two years time we can possibly double these early gains. | ammu12

03/12/2020 09:23 | Ammu......not emotionally attached but still ISA attached although maybe they will be getting binned soon as did my main holding last week. Too many better opportunities out there.....you were all jumping up and down with excitement last week saying how this would fly once the energy sale had been approved. Well it has been approved but I don't consider a drop in price “flying” | aspers
03/12/2020 08:16 | Centrica Clears Final Regulatory Hurdle For Direct Energy SaleMon, 30th Nov 2020 14:58Alliance News(Alliance News) - Energy supplier Centrica PLC said Monday it has cleared its final hurdle for the sale of its North American business to NRG Energy Inc.Centrica in July announced its plans to sell Direct Energy for USD3.63 billion in cash, as part of an ongoing business restructuring programme to focus back on the UK and Ireland businesses. In early October, NRG received notice from the US Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission granting early termination of a waiting period for the sale.NRG was only waiting approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission - which Centrica noted on Monday the US firm has now received. The disposal increases the long-term strength of Centrica's balance sheet, it had previously said, with proceeds intended to be used to reduce net debt significantly and to make a contribution to the defined benefit pension schemes.Shares in Centrica were 3.4% lower in London on Monday at 44.22 pence each.By Paul McGowan; paulmcgowan@alliance | ammu12
