150p Next year.Vaccine boss suggests 'return to normal life' by second half of 2021
The boss of one of the companies leading the charge for a coronavirus vaccine has expressed hope that there is "a light at the end of the tunnel".

Albert Bourla, chief executive of pharmaceutical company Pfizer, which has announced results of 95 per cent efficacy in its vaccine, said that if vaccination was successful, normal life would return.

Speaking to Sky News he said: "As things (are) going on, until we reach herd immunity, people need to be very careful.

"They need to wear a mask, social distance. There is light at the end of the tunnel, it's real. We never believed to have a vaccine of this efficiency so people need to be patient.

"I believe that the second half of 2021 will be a very different experience for a lot of us.

"I think if we will be able to vaccinate, we can go back to normal life."

The companies plan to submit their safety data to the Food and Drug Administration by the end of the week, Sahin said, adding that they hope the vaccine will be granted emergency use authorization by December or early next year. He also said that by March, other vaccines might be approved and distributed, enabling 60% to 70% of the population to get vaccinated by fall 2021.

"So I expect the most difficult time ... is this winter until March, maybe April, and then the supply of the vaccines will help to get initial control of the situation and full control might be accomplished [by the] end of the summer next year, so we can have a normal autumn and winter 2021," he said.

Centrica has the potential to recover says Gary Newman...Share Tip
The Direct Energy sale worth $3.63 Billion will go some way to strengthening the balance sheet, alongside the cost cutting and efficiency measures that it has already been putting in place to improve future profitability, but it is still too early to know for sure whether the company can really turn things around in a big way and make a decent recovery longer term.

But from a market cap of circa £2.6 billion, and a share price of a little under 45p, I can see potential here as an investment, and once the Direct Energy sale is completed and the debt is reduced, alongside improving energy markets, I don’t see any good reason why this won’t at least bounce back to the 80-90p level it was trading at prior to the arrival of Covid, and quite possibly much higher in the coming years. So, for me, it is a buy and longer term hold, from which you could reap some very nice rewards if things go to plan.

Trading update given last year on 21st November....when you compare with Royal Mail with their issues CNA could achieve improved expectations going forward. Royal Mail share price has jumped nearly 100% over the last few months (well, since early May)and still looking for a new CEO. The perception for RMG recovery is now reflected in its share price...why not at CNA?

Centrica is a major casualty of interfering politicians - Energy and technology industries will not thrive in the UK until 'ETON' is converted to a Technical College.

So what do we damaged long term holders think of Centrica going forward?

Once mighty Centrica were valued at about £20bn a few years ago.
Today share price and valuation about 88% down from peak.
Just about everything that could go wrong did.

I still hold a decent amount and Centrica has the distinction of being my worst ever significant investment. (ignoring small investments in Woolwoths, Northern Rock and Eurotunnal).

I think CNA have improved of late and the upcoming green revolution could present opportunities.
They have been active in home electric car charging developments for example.

Centrica still have millions of loyal customers, at times in the past these would be highly valued.
Maybe worth holding or even adding, hard to see this getting much lower.

Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine has 95% efficacy and is safe, further tests show

The coronavirus vaccine from Pfizer, which is due to arrive in the UK before the end of the year, has 95% efficacy and has passed its safety checks, according to further data from the firm.

The most common significant side effect seen in the study was fatigue, at a frequency of 3.8% after a second dose of the vaccine. No serious safety concerns were observed, the company said.

The companies' release said they plan to file for an emergency use authorization "within days" with the FDA.

The companies expect to be able to make up to 50 million vaccine doses, enough for 25 million people, by the end of 2020. Next year's production would be up to 1.3 billion doses, or enough for 650 million people.

Centrica has not joined in this rally so far.
