Trader there was no movement. Perhaps it was funds buying from funds. Or brokers to brokers.

If it was a fresh acquisition we’ll soon see an RNS.

At 9.30 this morning someone or something bought 8086000 shares at 90.74p for a consideration of £7,328,162.40 (in CEY obviously)

Then at 9.36am today exactly the same
Trade at the same price.

According for HL trades by volume.

That’s over £14m been invested into the company today over two trades.

Can someone explain this?

If it is a double bottom I would expect the recovery to be sharp

Trader 365:

I do agree with you,re: needing to have a plan and sticking with it to see how it ends up.
I also agree with you re:needing to sell the losers and cut losses but the problem is that several good shares seemed like losers and I sold them at big losses only to see them bounce back up to new heights a few months later.

This was a few years ago in my early attempts and I was risking more than I could afford to lose.

I now try to decide in advance what I will do with a share if it drops ,or at what point I will sell it if it goes up, and stick to the plan.

On the other hand,I recently dumped Petrofac, as stated previously, and then bought it back down to 377 and miraculously came out with a break even for this financial year.

Your comments about trading strategies seem almost word for word similar to the advice in a book called:The Naked Trader which came out a few years ago.

Re:Centamin,I am completely out and I have decided right or wrong, that there is a good chance of it dropping below 80 pence so I will stick with this plan and not worry about missing out.

Someone must be off loading maybe?

Or is it shorters just selling it down and down?

So frustrating.

In the absence of a big spike in gold or good production/exploration news .... this look like a breakdown coming up.

Hang in George ... lot of gold miners are actually up and IMHO I think only a snippet of good news will drive this share . Let’s face it .. it probably cannot get any worse so hopefully 90p is where the market will hold it . So much value in the balance sheet, plenty of cash, increased resources , other sites coming on board ... all the fundamentals are in place apart from a great production management team which they reckon they have put new guys in so I am very hopeful.

If it falls through 88p its not a double bottom , its a breakdown . I am nervous do I have taken some money off the table though I am still hoping for a recovery with the rest . We should soon know

Creditcrunchies ... you sold and looking for an entry ? 90p looks value to me .. going back in to pick a few more up . IMHO decent production figures within their target range brings confidence back and could see a comfortable 33% gain at 90p as soon as positive news comes through .

Looking for La Doubla Bottom here around the 88p-90p mark, essentially there already we just need a big bounce.

I still believe 75-80p is the area that needs testing first that level takes in account of the risk because this company has got a reputation on downgrading revenues out of the blue. At that level you've got a bit of leeway the rest will be on the gold price

By the way trader365 .. I have a friend out in Pattaya . Comes out for the winter and comes back April time usually . Wonder if you might know him if you are in the bar scene over there ?? Bald as snooker ball , very suave but he’s from Smethwick , Birmingham ( if perchance you do know him pleased mention his birthplace and you will get a reaction ) . Winston is his name . He loves it out there ... got a lovely post op on his arm and gets his daily service !

GK - Its a very interesting place to live, theres an abundance of PA's here, one can hire and fire them weekly.

The hospitals are quite expensive here. The services of Dr. Navara Dusitanond in the operating theatre at Bumrungrad International cost around £4000 per hour. I dare say I could have had more than one 2 week holiday in India for the cost of an hour in theatre here.

GK - I was Jomtien in the past but turned 50 last year, too old for drunk motorbike rides home. I'm on 3rd Road central Pattaya now. Soi Buakhao, LK Metro, Big C and the beach all within 5-10 min stroll.
