Nah. You watch gold bottom out on this retrace. US is facing recession (look at yestersay’s Stats). They will cut rates and print. Gold is the place to be. No way will Trump want a falling stock market during an election year. A huge gold bull is coming, huge. Aggressive money printing, fiscal stimulus call it what you will, when we get the next downturn, inevitably fiat currencies will get savaged. Why do you think governments are stockpiling and repatriating gold like never before?

I gave up on charts for PMs a long time ago . The crooks decide the prices and they happen . No such thing as an accurate prediction as all the failed gurus have proven . They could keep this racket going for many years yet .
Gone quiet here now ......hmmm

It’s ok juju. The gold price rallied between Aug and Jan like 15%.

It was owed a pull back.

It will bottom out analysts say at around $1235-1250 in mid spring. Then start it’s journey back up - to $1350 and beyond.

The trend is now up and it still hasn’t been broken.

This is going nowhere until they stop crushing the metals on a regular basis

Agree Boris. No point in fretting or panicking. I honestly believe a gold bull market is on its way in the next 9 months (the start of one). Like the internet boom and crypto boom, when prices went absolutely mental, the same will happen for gold and silver miners. It’s just a question of hanging on.

Lots of info there. I'm putting my money on the fact that you'll be able to sell at a much higher price than today's.Many people here will be below their average price. That includes me.

I bought £20,575 worth at just a smidgeon over 136p

Just as I was leaving for work at 8.01am I tried to sell the lot (over 15,000) shares. But could get no quote on the HL app.

I SHOULD HAVE phoned and spoken to a broker and got a quote.

I didn’t.

I just held on.

‘HahahahhaR17;. Self confessed plonker of the century lol.

I will hold on. (I won’t tell you about the rest of the 100,000 I hold).

This will come back and I won’t sell under 200p.

Yep - cracking opportunity but they are all over the market place. One pound on sale for 60 pence. Tough call.

20 year LOM and dividends is fine by me, 2018 wasn't the best year, dividend cut and here we are buying at 89p.. thanks very much.. :o)

2019 our costs have gone up, but currently offset by POG, given the problems with the mine planning last year, I would expect the company to be cautious on guidance for this year and underplay it.. H1 results will be revealing, stronger dividends will return and bargain hunters today rewarded.. IMO.

The market has a mind of its own and no one honest can say they get it. It's a total lottery. The only thing you can control is your buying and selling price. It's essential to appreciate the market is WRONG most the time. If you trust the market you are doomed.

Entry point is extremely important to connect as this determines whether you are over or under paying. When holding you need to disconnect and look at the fundamentals and intrinsic value.

Looking steady today Boris . This might be the turn especially with POG low and not moving . Good luck . Ohh.. and it has gone wrong drastically for many 136p down to 90p is pretty bad .

I don't give a monkeys about perfect timing. I just buy value and hold through bad times. Sometimes things go wrong. Then you sell. This hasn't gone wrong.

I would be really happy if I learnt how to buy in at the very rock bottom price and sold at the highest peak on regular basis. Infact is be over the moon

Some people are just too good at this game. They wait and buy right the bottom and also sell right the top.

Amazing they do it with every single share.....hiw do they do it and know when the bottom base has formed to the last quarter of a penny

It’s a quality business and it’s not as if they are making losses but until they produce some more acceptable figures it will IMO continue to drift . Back at levels of production more in line with prior years and I agree ... total bargain . But when will it find its bottom is the question ? I will be back in but still just does not feel right for me quite yet .
