04/11/2016 13:05 | Local labour cost will drop, in US$ terms I imagine same for local taxes | casual47
04/11/2016 12:47 | azalea, It would make sense that fuel prices would rise in E£ terms because of the sharp devaluation in the Egyptian Pound. But in US$ terms they should remain relatively flat. And of course, CEY earnings are in US$ terms - so fuel costs should remain flat. | chipperfrd
04/11/2016 12:09 | Egypt's hiking of prices for various fuels between 30% and 47%, will hit production cost for all mining operators in the country. | azalea

03/11/2016 16:59 | Egypt currency devaluation should feed through into a proportionally lower CEY cost base. E£ has dropped c. 40% since March including today's 19%. | chipperfrd
03/11/2016 16:14 | This should help CEY's local costs i.e wages fuel etc . tim | budevenwiser
03/11/2016 15:01 | Damm, I'm now rich !All thanks yo Sawadee !Thanks bruv | davidtil
03/11/2016 12:20 | Right just been over the RRS 3rd quarter results - It's official :- CEY generated more cash from operations than RRS in their third quarter. And RRS head Mr Bairstow was bullish and trumpeted the RRS numbers as excellent. On that basis Centamin numbers are on another level; CEY head Andrew Pardey is a modest man with a fear of public speaking and lacks the presentation skills of Mr Bairstow . Notwithstanding that the valuations of RRS and CEY may well now adjust to more truly reflect the relative performance of the 2 companies . . The market sometimes lets valuation anomalies persist . . however given recent numbers this one is hard to miss though. We will see . . | undervaluedassets
03/11/2016 08:42 | CHOK DEE Mr Til :-) :-) | sawadee3
03/11/2016 08:41 | I expect that there will be certain amount of repositioning to come to reflect new realities. This is down to the fact that current production and profits mean that CEY is one of the big boys now. RRS is expected to make circa £364 million at full year POLY is expected to make circa £495 million at full year And CEY is expected to make £214 million at full year. (all estimates courtesy of sharescope) I would posit that the RRS and POLY may well struggle to meet full year estimates (esp POLY due to rouble resurgence) whereas CEY looks certain to exceed estimates (most of that £214 Million is banked). Comparisons are odious but this leaves CEY breathing down the necks of it's larger companions in terms of profitability yet still on a very modest valuation. POLY also has circa £1billion of debt whereas CEY has none | weemonkey

02/11/2016 12:25 | not bad at all - profit share with Govt kicking in confimation (if confirmation were needed) of the runaway succes that this company is having in Egypt. . CEY is big player now ( ranking alongside POLY and RRS) and for the moment on a modest valuation. | weemonkey
02/11/2016 12:14 | Yes, however, CEY does not have to pay corporation tax so it is not all bad! | jfishy55
02/11/2016 12:09 | Thanks for the post weemonkey. I was trying to remember the details of the agreement re Gov share of profits after capital repaid and the telegraph have saved me some time. Shame we are not getting 100%, but hey ho | blowitall
02/11/2016 10:55 | Newsflow likely to be positive - Broker Upgrades, resource updates from sukari, exploration updates + substantial divi hike (50-100%) for full year all still to come. . | weemonkey
01/11/2016 11:35 | Seemingly going down to the wire. Clinton ahead by 1% nationally. Suspect the winning margin will be convincing myself.Pollsters consistently wrong over the last few years. | fangorn2 |
