06/9/2023 16:16 | "Aye would have been happy to pay £1.2975 but no higher." well if you wanted 20k shares it appears that you could have done so this morning, or on Monday, or yesterday! Asagi (long CCP) | asagi
06/9/2023 14:14 | Aye would have been happy to pay £1.2975 but no higher. | mickinvest
06/9/2023 14:11 | the 20k buy was at 129.75p. (that's not a counterpoint, just saying) Asagi (long CCP) | asagi
06/9/2023 13:58 | Looks like a decent buy of 20k today thought of adding 5k but spread a disgrace at £1.2225-1.325 so not prepared to be fleeced by MM's | mickinvest
05/9/2023 09:08 | Celtic now Odsonne to win the league, 4/7 according to oddschecker. Still not seeing anything in the share price! I wonder if Rodgersball can grab a win in the Champions League this year. I think a win is worth EUR3m!!! Asagi (long CCP) | asagi
04/9/2023 09:15 | why no trading in the shares this morning? The probability of Celtic qualifying for the Group stages of the 24/25 Champions League group stages have been given a massive shot in the arm. When Brendan Rodgers left last time around the shares were over 160p. Asagi (long CCP) | asagi
03/9/2023 18:31 | who would have 'thunk' it after the 10iar season that wasn't, real and atletico back-to-backs in consecutive seasons | wrtmf
03/9/2023 17:13 | a celtic podcast - lots of praise for scales. a rangers podcast - lots of swearing, 'beale out' rangers didn't learn from killie-st johns to put intense pressure on calmac | wrtmf
03/9/2023 16:39 | Great 3 points, some huge performances today from Calmac, Scales, Maeda and O'Riley. Taylor and Turnbull poor again but was all about result today after a couple of poor performances. Off to Spain for a month in morning so tough watch when sober and sets us up nicely for CL and financial results in 3 weeks | mickinvest
03/9/2023 14:15 | agreed wrtmf: these games are hell as a shareholder. Lots of questions whether Celtic came out of the transfer window in better shape than they went in. We still don't know on that score, particularly as Palma didn't start today. However, Lagerbielke was thrown in that the deep end, centre half in an Old Firm game, away from home with no fans working in a novel pairing with Scales (if not novel, it isn't old). Came away with a clean sheet. There's a simple logic to that: Lagerbielke has played a role in a huge result this season. I am hoping for: a good showing from the like of O'Riley in the Champions League, then get him sold in January. Win the league again, meaning Champions League bonanza money (value of a Champions League place steps up next season). Sell another player for silly money to the Saudi league in the summer. But whatever happens, I'll never be entirely comfortable with Brendan Rodgers as manager. Asagi (long CCP) | asagi
03/9/2023 10:33 | Celtic: Hart, Johnston, Lagerbielke, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, O'Riley, Turnbull, Maeda, Furuhashi, Abada. Substitutes: Bain, Ralston, Bernabei, Holm, Kwon, Yang, Oh, Palma, Kobayashi. -- -acquired liverpool central defender, not even on bench -turnball and o'reilly are a weak pairing/get out muscled -mcgregor has been struggling for weeks missing strength and skill of mooy, starfelt, ccv, jota, hatate highlights poor recruitment | wrtmf
02/9/2023 19:40 | @rustncrust 3 hours ago Its a very hard place to go and get a result, Brendan, don't start turnbull and stop trying to "improve' Kyogo , he's an assassin in the box, you can't improve perfection -- your experiment hasn't worked brendan! the others have to work on their finishing first | wrtmf
02/9/2023 08:28 | Only an Old Firm win for Rangers on Sunday will prevent the knives being sharpened for manager Michael Beale, says former Ibrox striker Kris Boyd. (Scottish Sun) -- the same could be said for rodgers! | wrtmf
31/8/2023 19:18 | round up Benfica midfielder Paulo Bernardo will fly into Glasgow today to seal an initial loan move to Celtic. (BT - in Danish) Celtic have ended their interest in Brondby striker Mathias Kvistgaarden. (Scottish Sun) Leeds United are showing interest in Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley, but Southampton could also make an approach for the 22-year-old. (Sky Sports) Celtic have kicked out a Leeds United bid for Matt O'Riley, having rejected an approach from Serie A Bologna last week. (Scottish Sun) Paulo Bernardo, the 21-year-old Benfica midfielder liked with Celtic earlier this summer, is discussing a potential loan move to the Scottish Premiership champions. (Anthony Joseph on X) Celtic face competition for Paulo Bernardo from clubs in Spain and Italy but are hoping the path taken by former Benfica winger Jota could persuade the player to move to Scotland. 31/8/2023 17:31 | well, Rangers' failure to quality means an increase in Champions League TV money for Celtic and CL Group money this season while Rangers will have to make do with the much lesser amounts from the Europa League. Celtic are at a huge financial advantage already, this just extends it. Surprised that the usual posters haven't been on here crowing today. Asagi (long CCP) | asagi
27/8/2023 11:06 | I am surprised that Celtic and Rangers do not appear to have any interest in a merger of the Scottish and English leagues. It would be transformative for their prospects on and off the pitch. | pdosullivan
26/8/2023 17:44 | 0-0 st johnstone 19 shots, just 5 on target need to play kyogo as the target man as per last 2 yrs rodgers is playing him wrong 'Celtic booed off after 0-0 draw with St Johnstone' no goal for 2 games, a draw next week will be a good result | wrtmf
26/8/2023 08:32 | Celtic want to sign five more players before the closure of the transfer window, with a goalkeeper, left-back, centre-forward and centre-back being targeted in addition to Aris winger Luis Palma. (Football Insider) | wrtmf
24/8/2023 20:43 | We asked where you think Celtic need to strengthen before the transfer window closes. Here’s what some of you said: Michael: We need a new midfielder with height and strength and a tall striker and goalkeeper in that order. Daniel: I find it hard to know where to start. There are clearly positions needing depth - goalkeeper, left-back, left winger, but how is Brendan Rodgers going to use new players? What's his system? It’s hard to tell just now. James: Work needs to be done everywhere, we need to bring Jota back and strengthen the defence and midfield. Joe Hart has played his part, no disrespect at all but we need a new goalkeeper. Benjamin: They need a better manager, the level of performance towards the end of the last Rodgers era was not great and then there was the manner of his exit. He had little credit left in the bank and now watching the level of performance drop significantly post-Ange Postecoglou and a loss to Kilmarnock in the cup, things are not going well for Rodgers. Davie: We have lost our identity to what we had past two seasons. We look lethargic, with no spark or fluency in our play and players are clearly struggling to adapt to the new manager's methods. I’m not panicking yet but we need a few quality players in as we are a far weakened team since last season. Michael: Celtic need a goalkeeper as Hart is past it, a new left-back, a hard man in the middle of the park as they’re too light in there, and a left winger as Diazen Maeda is nowhere near the required standard. As it stands, the squad is weaker than at the same point last season. This squad is in serious need of surgery. Peter: If we can get Jota on loan it's a no-brainer. He is a more talented player than any one at the club, he scores goals, creates for others and mainly all the teams in Scotland fear him on the pitch. Brian: Reo Hatate will leave for England or Saudi Arabia and Jota will not return to us, neither will Kieran Tierney. A Rodgers rebuild is a must, we have money to buy quality players, the board must act quickly as a top priority. Mark: Obviously Postecoglou is being missed by the players, but it is up to Rodgers to settle things down. The players are not yet up to their usual standard and a top-class central defender to keep things tight is essential. The purse strings must be opened for top talent. It would be great to see Jota nutmegging opponents again, I miss him. Sean: Of course we would welcome Jota back. He loves the club so much he would come back. It would be great if we get Tierney back as well. Losing Carl Starfelt, Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers would be tough for any defence. | wrtmf
24/8/2023 20:33 | 'Celtic will "look at" recruiting a new defender after three players were ruled out for eight weeks, says boss Brendan Rodgers. Cameron Carter-Vickers, Maik Nawrocki and Stephen Welsh are all expected to be missing until October. Fellow defender Yuki Kobayashi and midfielder Reo Hatate are set to return after next month's international break.' its not looking good, worse case scenario = cl whipping boys and league over by mid oct, rodgers sacked by xmas 'The defending Scottish Premiership champions are boosted by the return of Canada right-back Alistair Johnston against Saints' lol@ ' In the aftermath of last weekend's "disappointing" result against Kilmarnock, the manager said, "losing and failing in games is integral to becoming successful".
